From us in the +Qt Project to our friends in +GTK: welcome to the next stage in C++.

Qt 5.7 will also require C++11 support. The minimum feature list is identical to that which MSVC 2012 supports and we will still eschew ABI dependency on the Standard Library for a while longer. So Qt itself should not be affected by the GCC 5 libstdc++ ABI break.

I blogged about using C++11 in gtkmm and friends.
Switching to C++11. All the *mm projects now require C++11. Current versions of g++ require you to use the –std=c++11 option for this, but the next version will probably use C++11 by default. We might have done this sooner if it had been clearer that g++ (and libstdc++) really really supported ...

The Qt framework has surely improved over the years. Dare we say that the Qt logo has, too? Logo evolution.

I don't care about the logo. I'm amazed at how well the framework has evolved in time. Programming in Qt is always a pleasure.

Just tried to get this to work -- it seems pretty interesting.

I'm on Ubuntu 14.04.  I checked out mapbox-gl-native and built it...but there's no install instructions anywhere.  "make linux" builds it (and runs it!), but there's no "sudo make install" or "sudo make linux install".

I looked through the documentation and didn't see anything.
