What your favorite map projection says about you.

Mercator? "You're not really into maps."
Gall-Peters? "I hate you."

Sigh. This looks rather special - I do love the Sir John Soane's Museum.
Twenty of the rarest and most beautiful of Francois Fouquet's architectural models are on view at Sir John Soane's Museum in London.

Some very good ideas for circles from swissmiss. I am yet to create a 'dead to me' circle, but my Family circle may need to be re-named 'family who'll never comprehend Google+'

Love these iconic posts for the London 2012 Festival - just in time for new walls.

"We felt very nice and snug, the more so because it was so chilly… because truly to enjoy bodily warmth, some small part of you must be cold."

One of the best pieces I've read from the London riots - near-impossible to not watch the horrors unfold in familiar corners of my old home, let alone get this essay finished...
Panic on the streets of London. I'm huddled in the front room with some shell-shocked friends, watching my city burn. The BBC is interchanging footage of blazing cars and running street battles in...

Charming indie hidden in central Nottingham. Great food, interesting events, and strong social justice background. Didn't get to try Gin caves downstairs, but had a delicious dinner and interesting drinks. Friendly place with history and a conscience.

A great practice - best in Toon. The receptionists are all rude/nasty, but the medical team are great. Lots of useful features including online appointment booking a.d waiting room WiFi. The breadth of things offered, from the nurse practitioner to family clinics for pregnancy and babies, mean our family are staying put.

A stunning NT property - lots to see, great walks and so interesting. Been several times - great for picnics, a great playground for kids, lots of events and guided tours. Not far from the motorway, we stop off from time to time and leave refreshed, inspired and educated.

Inspired by a great brewery tour - lots of tasting, a story of a once-small brewer growing & lots of beers to buy too. A good day out, a great shop and some characters behind the bar.
