There are a bunch of things that make this place great. First things first though obviously. There is a 10 yes that's right 10 page drink menu. Everything from mezcal to micheladas even absinthe and rose, you'll be able to imbibe in this establishment. Drinks average about $12-14 and the more concentrated concoctions are served in smaller, daintier glasses. The food menu albeit smaller is equally as impressive. The first time I came here was on my birthday, so we were able to try several different dishes. **Pork Belly Cochinita** People, listen to the yelpers. This dish is LEGIT **Queso Fundito with Chorizo** Omg, self explanatory but I could bury my face in it **Guac/Salsas** Standard tells of a good Mexican restaurant and Mayahuel delivers **Ceviche** Light and fresh tasting **Fish Tacos** Fresh and delicious, always always order these **Flautas** Can do no wrong ever. Obviously awesome here **Chimichurri Steak** Great cuts of beef with a variety of veggies on that plate Did not have the Paella but boy the description is drool inducing. THEY HAVE CHURROS too!!! Obviously those went straight to the dome. I will make this a standard repeat. Can't forget the ambiance. Dark with candles and dark wood. Great place to take someone for cocktails. And dinner. YUM. Wish they delivered. To Chelsea. And Brooklyn. LOL

If you're a tequila lover, you need to come here. There's a ton of different options to choose from, and the cocktails they craft are delicious. The food is also not to be missed - get the tacos!

I went for a party. The food was scrumptious! The salsa, guacamole and pico de gallo were fresh but not as flavorful as I like. The pork tacos and black bean balls were yummy! The margaritas were superb! But the margaritas took a long time to receive. The space is cramped but also cozy and romantic.

I met a friend here for dinner, we both got the steak, which very tasty. Mayhuel has a very extensive menu, which is much longer than the actual food menu! The food is a bit pricey for the potions, but delicious nonetheless. The place had a speakeasy kind of vibe and you can easily miss it if you do not know what you are looking for. Its definitely a cool place to check out!

Went here with a group and we shared some small plates and all were very good. The food here I can describe as unique tasting, ie, salsa had a very smoky flavor unlike traditional salsas I have tasted. The tortilla soup was also yummy. What we really came here for though were the cocktails. Mayahuel's has a large selection of delicious tequilla spiced cocktails, and we left undisappointed. The place has a speakeasy feel with a dark embiance and a discreet outer appearance.

Awesome food. As creative & flavorful as their cocktails... Great staff. Try their Sotol if you like to explore spirits. Ask Justin if you have a question, he won't give you a generic answer
