Former President George W. Bush met with Shin Dong-hyuk at the Bush Presidential Center in Dallas (23 October 2013). Bush asked Shin about his life in and escape from Camp 14, a no-exit labor camp for the political enemies of North Korea. Shin is the only person known to have been born in a NKorean labor camp and escape to the West.
