Caught both of these in broad daylight the Black Vultures let me get about 15ft fro them and I shot the raccoon from the passenger seat past the driver, both handheld @300mm

I got invited to go shoot at a hockey game last weekend and I love shooting new things so I jumped at it. It was a charity game between the local fire department and a department in MA. My buddy that I was going to shoot with couldn't make it and I was going to follow his lead so instead I winged it. I winged it hard with 365 shots, the most I've ever done at one go. I was honestly ready to scrap them all when I reviewed them the next day, they just seemed so lousy, instead I let it sit and slowly went through them over the next few days. I dropped that down to 96 shots and then pulled 62 out of those that after some serious cropping I like. I don't know that I'll ever have the chance to shoot hockey again but I learned a few things if I do, If anyone really wants to see more I've got the 62 all here: http://bit.ly/zuLPmC

Tomorrow it's off to try my hand at ski jumping, this time my buddy should be there. I'm just hoping to not embarrass my self too badly.

IF Apple announces the new iPad today... I'll give one away!

UPDATE! IT was announced! I'll order it today, they ship on March 16th so when I get it, I'll send it to the winner!

Here is how to enter:

1) You gotta have me in a Circle. Got that? Cool.
2) Publicly share this post!

That's it! So, if you want to be one of the first people to get your hands on an iPad3 here is your first chance!!! I'll announce the winner one week from today.

Oh, and this is only for US and Canada folks. Sorry! I love you guys across the pond but shipping is very, very difficult and expensive for these types of things.

PS - For those of you who are skeptical, YES - I really am giving away the new iPad. And +Cali Lewis and I give away stuff all the time. Most of the time we get things donated because of our show (GeekBeat.TV), but in this case I'm paying for the new iPad out of my own pocket and one of you lucky souls will win it. Enjoy!

PS Again! - I got the order in! Here's a sneak peak: https://plus.google.com/109938202835872364257/posts/P9RQ38Li5aB

Thanks +Lauri Novak. They had to truck this in, we haven't had any significant snow fall since October. They had a lot of competitors and spectators not show up because of it, last year they had a field of around 40 jumpers and according to the organizers well over 200 spectators.

Sharing it out for the day time crew and some feedback. There are better shots on the site (I promise.)

Hopefully I'll come back from the ski jumping with something good, and all my toes.

I missed one day so far, the day after shooting the hockey game. I was so preoccupied with going through those and errands I just forgot. I'm missing tonight also as my battery is on the charger getting ready for tomorrow.
