The Carnival in La Palma is a bit different from the celebrations on the other Canary Islands. The additional ingredients are salsa and talcum powder!

Great location and vistas. Good size rooms, albeit dated. Restaurant / bar staff all lovely. We felt something missing, can't put our finger on it... Boring dining experience perhaps incumbent with all inclusive and food average and often cold in bbq restaurant. Daily costs to use spa. Good to have a slightly heated outdoor pool in winter months... Supportive of babies with cots, preparation puree food etc. Good experience but could be better.

(Went in July 2016) Decent 4* hotel for families with kids. Guests mostly from France, Poland, Benelux, UK and Germany. Staff very very friendly and helpful (with one exception). Rooms spacious and in decent condition (bathroom cramped a little and very dark with only 2 small light bulbs). Tasty fresh food, but would be better if more local cuisine was present (local cheese, potatoes, seafood, etc). Long waiting lines to check in and check out at the reception desk (we spent approx 1.5h waiting when we arrived). Pools have no watersides, no fountains, no water cannons, nothing... Not all pools and pool surroundings clean (smallest one, on the left, next to sauna always dirty!). Long waiting lines for dinner. Age restricted restaurant by the pool (kids below age of 10 can't go in, despite the fact that the only chocolate fountain is there... why?!). Age restricted in-door pool (18+). Long waiting lines to the bars (not enough staff, in some bars you can help yourself to beer and in restaurant to wine as well). No elevators in the hotel (you need to take stairs to your room). No attractions, no shops, no bars in the area (only banana plantations). Car park is free and spacious with roof (car is not getting hot from sun), but it is located far from reception and very far from rooms. Inside shops expensive (example: we paid 16EUR for one accessory that costs 10EUR in normal outside shop). Gym has no air-conditioning. A little far from airport (1h drive by steep narrow mountain roads). Extremely expensive car rental in the hotel (1 day costs similar to 1 week at airport). Some bus service present (we didn't use it). Free trip to banana plantation and factory (highly recommended - 60-80mins long, but again: only adults 18+). Animation OK, but boring in the long run. Best room location is Block 5 (extra 25EUR per day if you pay at the reception).

We have stayed here three times now. It's of the beaten track but very luxurious. The rooms are large and modern, very comfortable. The food is excellent with a real mix available. One or two of the staff are slightly grumpy but that doesn't get in the way of a great holiday.

Lovely hotel, beautiful and large rooms. And so many pools. The heated pool is an especially nice touch. The hotel is isolated but has everything needed for a luxurious stay. Including free WiFi in the lobby. A reasonably well equipped gym too. The room has a large bathroom and powerful shower. The complex is large and due to the layout lots of properties don't have a view. Some rooms can be a 5-10 walk from pool. Great hotel

This place is fantastic. Friendly staff, great views, good food, plenty of drinks and decent quality too. Had some ants in our room, but they sorted that out quickly, and they have a nudist area which is great, unfortunately that part is next to some kind of sewage outlet which STINKS, so we aren't able to make use of it, which is a shame because otherwise this place is perfect 👌🏻

Really nice hotel a bit far from civilisation but it easy to relax in a peaceful environment with stunning ocean view
