You do not get to see these often. Rare opportunity for us to display, too.
Ura-Senke, one of the prominent schools of Chado (Way of Tea) uses Shimadai Chawan or Shimadai Tea Bowl in their Hatsugama-shiki, the New Year's ceremony in January. A pair of gold and silver bowls cherishes the arrival of the new year. Gold represents Yang or the Sun, and Silver for Yin or the Moon. Sophisticated ceramic art by a certified traditional craftsman of Kyoto, Takahiro Okayama.
This pair of tea bowls will not stay for long. US Free Shipping.

Another item we needed to say good-bye.
A delicate cricket cage has been taken over by a couple who are artists in our area. The clients have told us the cage (of course with a cricket.) is now hanging over their indoor Koi fish pond.
We find Japanese bamboo lattice work has been attracting many people since it first appeared on our store shelves during the last holiday season. Since it has become very popular, our short stock will be gone soon again.
New items have just arrived last week, so hurry to come check those out!
