Once allies, Team Angle member, Shelton Benjamin battled his former mentor, Kurt Angle, in a very overlooked clash on an edition of +WWE Raw in 2005.

The Olympic Gold Medal winner found himself battling a much more experience Benjamin who had come into his own since being drafted to the Raw roster in 2004.

Benjamin and Angle traded suplexes a-plenty before Angle finally got hold of the younger Benjamin's ankle. This competitive match really helped re-establish Kurt Angle as he was about to enter a feud with WWE Champion, +JohnCena WWEUniverse.

This week we look at what is one of #WWE  Monday Night #Raw's most underrated matches ever.

In the early days of Raw, we were treated to this match between WWE Champion Bret Hart and the fresh-faced 1-2-3 Kid.

The future X-Pac was established as a star on this night after a 20 minute contest with the face of the WWE at the time.

This still stands as one of Hart's greatest matches and the match that really established X-Pac as a star.

This week former  #WWE  Champion CM Punk turns 36.

Punk left the company under very unusual circumstances and has since made, whether serious or not, claims that he is now retired from professional wrestling.

While he still remains a hot topic of debate even almost a year after his departure it's still no denying Punk was a very different personality than many others showcased on WWE television.

How many Triple Threat Submission Count Anywhere matches have ever seen?

As far as we can tell, this was the first and only. Former #WWE  Tag Team Chamions, John Morrison and The Miz, faced off as well as new comer, Daniel Bryan. This match was for The Miz's United States Championship, and it is one of the most unique matches I can recall seeing in recent history.

Bryan had been The Miz's NXT Rookie, and the polar opposite paths the two took getting into the company made for a perfect match and rivalry.

Daniel Bryan won the match after applying what would eventually be called The Yes Lock on his former mentor to win his first ever title in the WWE.

This week we talk about #Batista. A decade ago "The Animal" was given the biggest push of his career when he defeated #TripleH at #WrestleMani  21.

Back then, Batista was generally well accepted across the board by #WWE  fans, but didn't have the main stream appeal the company needed to make him the star they wanted him to be.

Oh, how a decade can change things. In 2014, Batista returned to the company that made him and was not well received in the slightest. Conversely, later in the year he was a prominent part of #Disney and #Marvel's new movie franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy.

The roles have been reversed for the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Maybe now that his movie has been such a triumph the fans will be more accepting of him if he decides to come back to the ring again.  The WWE will certainly be excited to have him back, at least.

The #Undertaker. One of the most important pillars in sports entertainment history and one of the #WWE's most well respected performers, ever.

For nearly 25 years "The Demon of Death Valley" has been an ever-evolving constant as the generations passed. From Hogan, to Austin, to Cena. The Undertaker weathered all the storms and developed his legacy the hard way.

After a career that has spanned over three decades we may be close to finally seeing The Undertaker -rest, in, peace. We look back at "The Deadman's" lengthy career in our second ever edition of the Pro Wrestling Countdown to find his best matches ever.

A little update on the next edition of the Pro Wrestling Countdown

Our next edition of the countdown, covering the 10 greatest matches of the current #WWE   Champion #BrockLesnar, is well into production.

Working two jobs makes scheduling the time that I used to devote to making these articles perfect (in my mind), challenging. However, I'm getting better at just drinking soda and being a zombie.

Lesnar's edition of the Pro Wrestling Countdowns should only be a week or two more at best.

That'll give me time to finish editing and reconfigure anything that's left to finish.

Here's a sneak peak at the article's cover!

This week, Roman Reigns was taken out of #WWE  action to undergo an emergency surgery due to a hernia he suffered.

Along with Daniel Bryan, Reigns is one of the hottest rising stars on the WWE roster. Both are now on the shelf for the next several months.

Reigns debuted in the WWE as a member of The Sheild which went on to become the most successful faction the company has put on television since Evolution ruled over Monday Night #Raw with an iron fist.

Reigns has been viewed as the breakout star of the group and is seemingly still being groomed to become a future torch bearer for a new generation of WWE superstars.

Get well, soon.

Shawn Michaels vs. Shelton Benjamin ( #WWE  Raw, 2005):

An underrated television classic that provided one of the greatest and most sudden end to any WWE match, ever.

Benjamin was impressing many during this time with his athletic ability and as such was paired with just about every big name on Monday Night Raw's deep roster of main event talent at one point or another.

Triple H. Edge. Jericho. Benoit. And Shawn Michaels were all among the names that Benjamin got to have excellent matches with.

This was apart of the Gold Rush Tournament to determine the #1 Contender for Batista's World Heavyweight Championship.

Shawn Michaels would advance after hitting a mid-air Shelton Benjamin with Sweet Chin Music.

It was a moment that still gives us goosebumps.
