Continuing my favorite paint color series today on the blog, and this is the one you’ve all been asking for... my favorite whites! It’s no secret that I’m pretty fond of clean, bright white spaces in my farmhouse, but it can be tricky to pick the perfect shade. I have my top picks for crisp, cool whites and creamy, cozy whites and everything in between, including the paint colors I used in my own house! Head on over to the blog to find out which colors made the list!

This year I’ve made it a goal to share more recipes on the blog again because as much as we all love looking at pretty spaces sometimes, we all have to cook for our families everyday, and I want to start sharing more of my favorite simple recipes to make your job a little bit easier! Today I’m bringing back an old favorite... apple turnovers with a homemade apple cinnamon filling that is to die for and a drizzle of vanilla glaze over top the delicious flaky, golden crust for a bit of extra sweetness. You know you want one of these with your coffee! Get the recipe now on the blog:

When a huge sale is staring you in the face late at night, and you find the exact sofa you think will work for your weird and difficult living room... sold! It arrived last week, and after a day full of furniture rearranging, I am so happy with the way our living room looks and functions now! I'm spilling all the details of our gorgeous new sectional, tips for keeping a room open and airy with large pieces of furniture in small spaces, and my opinion on having a light color couch with kids and pets! This sweet holiday dessert table I created has definitely been a favorite this year, and hands down the question I've been asked most is how to make this donut hole tree! I'm sharing a super simple tutorial on the blog today with a few ways you can customize yours for a unique look. I think a dessert tree like this would be so cute not only at holiday parties and Christmas brunches, but at bridal showers, baby showers and birthday parties too! And the best part... you don't have to bake a thing! Get this tutorial on the blog now:

This little spot in our entryway has always been hard for me to decorate, but I finally found the perfect piece to make it feel complete. I came across this mantel at an antique store and instantly fell in love, but it looked very different than it does now when I first brought her home! Come see the before photos and how I used a little bit of power tools and Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint to give the mantel an antique cozy cottage look that's perfect for our home!

My bedroom was getting a little jealous of all the Christmas decorations going up all over the house, so this week I spent some time in here playing with chunky knit blankets, strands of pearls, the cutest mini Christmas tree and new nightstands that just got delivered! I am head over heels in love with all the shades of soft white and cream throughout the room, and I can't wait to show you the rest of my cozy, little Christmas haven!

I've done plenty of fancy holiday table settings over the years, but this Christmas I wanted our table to be all about the kids! So I created this sweet, magical dessert table filled with gingerbread houses, a snowy cake, frosted sugar cookies, sparkling cider, a donut tree (yes, I just said donut tree!) and little handmade ornaments at each place setting. I have a feeling this will make any child's eyes light up with joy, and let's be honest... any adult's eyes too! This is the second post in our Christmas Seasons of Home series, so head on over to the blog to get all my dessert table details and see more stunning Christmas-inspired dining rooms!
