Our government might actually do something responsible and let Section 215 of the "Patriot" Act expire?!
The USA Freedom Act aimed at addressing the NSA's bulk collecting of phone call metadata was approved by the House of Representatives ten days ago, but b

Not only did the White House not report on any of its programs, but the federal government site doesn't know where over 22% of federal awards reported on went. They LOST track of 22% of federal money awards. And yet the White House says, "Just trust us, we'll be transparent."
A government website intended to make federal spending more transparent is missing at least $619 billion from 302 federal programs, a government audit has found.

I really wish +Google Play on PC would bring back the ability to see which of "My Apps" are installed on which devices, and to update them from Chrome. The functionality used to be there, but disappeared when they redesigned the store.

Just a small portion of Nathan Fillion's panel at Salt Lake Comic Con FanX.

It was great to meet Karen Gillan, Nathan Fillion, and Adam Baldwin. Wish I could have met Patrick Stewart while I was there.

If anybody has thought about budgeting software, I highly recommend giving YNAB a try. It doesn't go on sale often, but today it's on sale on Steam. There's only 2 hours left on its sale, but it's only $14.99 right now.

G+ Questions - Mobile  -

I have a T-Mobile HTC M-8. I've been getting notifications that "Backup has failed" and find out that it's the Photos Auto-Backup. When I check it, it says it's uploading, but is on xx of 1108. I cancel the upload, start it again, and the number starts over. It starts going along, so I think it's working. A few days later, another notification.

Today, I started trying it again. It appears to have uploaded some, but then stopped. When I check in settings, it now says "Upload paused, no Wi Fi connection." I have a solid Wireless AC connection. Why is it pausing saying there's no wi-fi?

This little guy needs a name. Any suggestions? He's a miniature dachshund. His mother was longhair, white with brown and black spots. His father was a short hair, brindle coloring.

Excellent food. Small place in a strip mall, so it's easy to miss. It is very busy, so seating may be limited, but we still got a table quickly. Prices are good and service was very good. Bring cash just in case, as when we went they were not processing credit/debit cards. Well worth the stop, though.

Terrific veterinarian. They have treated our dogs very well, and when the time came that we had to put my dogs to sleep, they were extremely understanding. They even sent a card with a handwritten note expressing their sympathy. None of the other vets I have taken my animals to have done that.
