The owner and staff were really great to work with. The pulled pork sandwich I got was nothing special. To me the meat seemed reheated without much flavor. The battered fries are outstanding and I would go there may for the fries. The beans were alright. I like vinegar flavor but the beans had a bit too much vinegar. The fries are great.

The owner of this place is very friendly & has a great sense of humor. However, i was not impressed with the food. It was not fresh & small portions as i had it to go. It seemed like the cook just put some old meat & bread in the microwave. I heard great things about this place so maybe it was just a bad day for them. I have not gone back since & rather go to Sugarhouse or Pats BBQ.

When, I came in, I knew I should have left right away. It was a Saturday afternoon and no one was there-with good reason, it turned out. My roommate and I were hoping to get take out and were pretty much guilted into staying by the owner and waitress, who seemed really, really desparate for company. The owner immediately came over and sat at our table and explained the menu to us (it didn't need explaining) and wanted to show us a "magic trick." Now I see all these positive reviews mentioning the "magic trick," and I want to know "What the f*** is wrong with you people!" The "magic trick" consists of packing a sugar packet down into the dirty old owner's hands using your finger. Keep in mind this is not one bit charming or good service-you're here to eat barbecue with your hands, and now you've had to finger the dirty old man's leathery-a** hands right before you eat?! This place is f***** up, don't go there unless you feel like entertaining the people working there and humoring the old man so that the guy in the back won't spit on your food. Don't f****** go here, ever.

Great food and great atmosphere. The waitress and the owner made us feel comfortable and were very attentive. The food came out fast and hot. The fries are coated with some sort of delicious batter. The BBQ is tender and moist. Owner came to our table, pulled up a chair and performed a magic trick while we waited. The décor is eclectic and exudes charm. Would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. It has the old diner, homely feel to it. The food was pretty good and the waitress that served us was amazing. The only problem I had with this place was the owner. The owner treated me like a criminal when I went to go check out with my groupon. Before I ordered, I showed the waitress my Groupon on my phone and she told me to show it when I get the check so I did. Once I got up there, the owner greeted me nicely and took my check, I told him I had a Groupon and showed it to him. He looked at it and said ok. After he said ok, I thought it was fine to press "Redeem this voucher". After doing that, he calculated the bill and I gave him my card to cover the remaining balance. He then asked to see it again. I told him that I just clicked the redeem the voucher so the barcode will not pull up anymore. And then told him that I have the Groupon number and that he can see it on the screen and next to it is the date that it was redeemed, which was that day. Instead of looking at my screen, he chose to ignore it, shook his head and said "I hope you're not trying to rip me off." I've eaten in many places, with or without Groupons and I've never had anyone think I was trying to "rip" them off. The waitress saw my Groupon and so did he, with the barcode. Lesson learned from this is, never redeem your Groupon until you step out of the restaurant and never come back to this place.
