Remember how Mel Gibson's Riggs used to fix his shoulder in "Lethal Weapon"? Well, I had a planned medical check-up today, and one of the doctors confessed she dislocated her left shoulder joint while practicing a flip turn in a swimming pool a while ago. So now she fixes it the same way — by banging it against whatever is closest, like a door. And she's a fragile 46 years old woman.

Surprisingly, Evince finally gets PDF annotations more or less right. Not without a few fuckups, but it does actually work. And yeah, I find my own lack of faith disturbing :)

The new Overview tab in GoldenCheetah is so much better :) Dunno why the cadence data isn't displayed though.

Surprisingly, so far, no comments along the lines of "Even G`MIC has switched to Qt! When will you drop GTK+ in GIMP?" :)
Brand new Qt version of the G'MIC plug-in for +GIMP available for testing.
Ready for a larger preview and a filter search engine ? :p
Still a pre-version of course, any feedback is welcome !

Thanks to +Øyvind Kolås we are going to have a more complete set of layer modes, with Vivid Light, Linear Light, Exclusion and more. But some of them don't render exactly as in Photoshop right now. So I'm having a little fun fixing formulas, based on someone else's excellent detective work :)

Also, we'll be shipping the PSD plug-in with wider support of layer modes, both importing and exporting (already done).

Fun fact: LCH-based Hue mode renders almost exactly (if not just exactly) as Photoshop's Hue mode. This didn't work with the legacy HSV-based Hue mode in GIMP.

Every plug-in and script in GIMP has a help ID, so that contextual help could be opened by e.g. pressing F1 in a particular dialog. Since a few hours, new GEGL-based versions of the old filters now also have their own help IDs, and the GIMP manual has just been updated accordingly.

For now, basically, you just get old help to open for the new filters. But pretty much everything is mapped appropriately. Next step: write a bunch of new content, update a bunch of old content. Easy! :D

"Just, how crop a select part according to the height-to-width ratio in less than 10minutes, 2 pills of phenobarbital and a terrific head-hash."

Oh, the questions that some users ask... :)
