The pre-school years should be for play. We've been saying this for years. It's great that people are really starting to give this important issue some attention. The early years are called 'formative' for a reason.

It's so much easier, more cost effective for society and better for everyone if we ensure children thrive rather than having to spend our resources fixing adults later on.
