The Charles Limbert Lamp Table - The latest set of plan!

The Charles Limbert Lamp Table is such great little piece of furniture although the angles and miters can be a bit of challenge if you’re not familiar with working in compound angles. Typically built from quarter sawn oak, this little table can be done in bubinga, walnut, or whatever wood you like, go ahead and give it that personal, one-of-a-kind touch.
The table measures 29 inches in height and the top is 19 inches square with rounded corners, it also has small shelf – perfect for a book or two. This is one of those projects that once completed will inspire you to look into building more of Charles Limbert’s furniture.

Check out our new plans for the Oppreist Cabinet Desk!

Our Oppreist cabinet-desk combination is reminiscent of the styles of Alan Peters and James Krenov. The cabinet and doors have a graceful curve which bows out from the case. The legs have a slight taper to them giving the base a light and airy feel. You can build the case to accommodate a computer (included in plans); there is a slot near the bottom of the case in the back where can you slide your power cords, and a series of slots near the top in the back to vent warm air. The finished cabinet-desk stands 73-3/4” tall and is 26-3/8” wide by 18-15/16” deep (including handle).
There are two (2) asymmetrical drawers that slide on semi-exposed rails; the drawers also have through dovetail joinery which adds an interesting detail to the drawer fronts.
Secret compartments? Yes, that’s right, there are two (2) boxes tucked in behind the drawers, providing you with a discreet location to place those important item that you don’t want
There is also an adjustable shelf giving you proper and ample space to put those essential items.
The writing surface slides in and out beneath the cabinet, you can simply reach under the cabinet and use the integrated pull to extract the desk top.

Coming Soon - The Oppreist Desk

April showers bring May flowers, or so the saying goes; but it also brings new designs and plans. We’re working hard on several new designs and sets of plans. One of those is an upright desk cabinet in the style of James Krenov. Here are some snap-shots of what we are calling the Oppreist Desk Cabinet.

Our latest design and plan is here!
Our king size captain’s bed is a straight forward useable design with a touch of style. Six ample drawers give you the stowage space for everything for extra sheets and blankets to socks and pants, or anything your sea fairing heart desires.

The drawer case rests on both a pedestal and the bed rails giving the finished product a sturdy and sea worthy feel. You will find that the panels in the head and footboards give it that little extra panache worth of your captain’s cabin. You will also find that every part in the foot and headboards, with the exception of the legs, are interchangeable; the makes your cutting and milling processes easier and more straight forward, essentially eliminating the possibility of confusion between head and footboard.

We are all about you being able to visualize what you want to build before or during construction so that your project goes together the way it should, and everything you build ends in success. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to see the whole project or just a complicated part or parts in 3D and not be in the position of making a guess at what that hidden line represents, that is no longer a problem with Foremost Design plans. Using our SketchUp Model you explore your project before you build it, now you can look at the whole project, or a part or parts and take the guess work out of your build. You always have options when purchasing our plans, a detailed, dimensioned set of shop drawings, or a SketchUp model, or you can purchase the Ultimate Plan Package which includes both of the file formats. Most of all, with Foremost Design plans you never have to settle for just one plan format. Another great feature, you don’t have to purchase expensive software to use our plans, in fact you don’t have to purchase any software; that’s because all of our plans can be viewed and used with free software (Adobe Reader and SketchUp Make). Make the smart choice and go with what works best for you.

Child's Dresser No. 1

Our Child’s Dresser No. 1 takes several design cues from the Arts & Crafts style, straightforward lines and paneled sides are a step up from other children’s dressers. With four (4) drawers it has ample space for everything from socks to shirts.
The overall dimensions of the dresser are 33-7/8” (860.42mm) tall, 42-1/2” (1073.15mm) wide, and 20-7/8” (530.22mm) deep. The dresser incorporates primary and secondary wood along with the use of plywood where needed. Dovetailed drawers and mortise and tenon construction makes for a solid long lasting piece of furniture that can give a life time of solid dependable use.

Stickley Gateleg Table Plans

Our Stickley Gateleg table plans are designed to give you the information and detail required to build this attractive and versatile table.

The gateleg table is a great addition to any home and can be used as a serving table, hall table, or behind your favorite sofa; with the leaves down the table measures approximately 15” x 42”, with the leaves up it measures about 42” x 42”.

This is one of my furniture favorites, as in all of Stickley's designs there is a cohesion of functionality and asthetics, it's beauty is not only in its great proportions and simple lines but in its versatility. You can use it as serving table, hall table or place to put that vase of flowers behind your favorite sofa.

We are all about you being able to visualize what you want to build before or during construction so that your project goes together the way it should, and everything you build ends in success.
