Great service. Awesome selection. Gluten free items marked on menu. Veggies were fresh and tasty. Delicious complimentary spiced tea.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I find myself craving this place whenever I just want some good food, period. All of the dishes I've had are fabulous, and I've tried dishes with the fake meat and without - neither ever leave me dissatisfied. My favorite dish is the veggie chow mein.

The food is always amazing and fresh. You can tell they really care about a quality product. They have some very interesting herbal dishes that use traditional Chinese herbs for spices. If you are not familiar with the herbs the menu tells you which dishes are good for different ailments. The food is comes out fast and the servers always give me a genuine smile and are very welcoming when I come eat.

My friends are vegetarian, so we went here for dinner one evening. I thought that I wouldn't be able to find anything good on the menu, but I was wrong. I had a really delicious meal, and didn't seem to miss meat. I had the tofu and walnuts and it was very tasty.

Shangri-La is a cozy Chinese Buddhist restaurant on Irving Street that serves consistently good veg food at good prices. This small, informal restaurant has excellent hot-and-sour soup as well as delicious dumplings and tasty twice-fried tofu. The cold noodles are also really good. Not everything here is great, but enough of it is really good. Also, for those who may be interested, the restaurant is certified kosher.

It was very far from town so I couldn't give it five stars... plus it's not the BEST authentic chinese food that I had but pretty close to one of the best. The atmosphere and ambiance is nothing special but the food was great and the service was awesome... I felt like I was going to my Chinese aunt's house... it was a hospitable experience.
