Without a doubt, living in Austin has its perks! If you know anything about South-by-Southwest or as it’s affectionately coined: SXSW, it’s the mecca for innovation, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
The energy in Austin explodes during the weeks of March 7 – 20th.
Lots of visitors, celebrities, musicians, educators, corporations and oh yeah, those of us who live here…all get to bask in the glow of this annual extravaganza.

For the first 2 years living here, I’d been warned to steer clear of downtown Austin during SX. It would be a traffic nightmare and just as busy as Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

However, this year I get to “play” a part in SXSW! As a business mentor for SXSWedu. SXSWedu® fosters innovation in learning by hosting a diverse and energetic community of stakeholders across a variety of backgrounds in education!

I’m honored to encourage and inspire the host of innovators in the Education space as they explore connections, collaborations and learn new tech tools in support of advancing education.

It will be a joy and pleasure heading downtown (thank goodness I can catch a metro train!) to wade through the energy and contribute a bit of my own…smile

How cool is that?
