This store is whimsical and unique, however, it's really overpriced and I was disappointed by how much was either commercial candy or candy that has been repackaged in their cute boxes and sold for SO much more. It's also way too crowded with displays and's a nightmare to shop when there are a lot of people. Way overrated.

My husband and I are avid watchers of the Profit and were pretty excited to visit Sweet Petes. We loved the whole story and the transformation. I read the reviews before we went so that we would have an idea of what to expect. We arrived at SP's around 10:30 on a Sunday. It was pretty empty. There were a few people in the restauraunt but, we were the only people in the Sweeterie down stairs as well as the kids area up stairs. The decor and feeling of Sweet Pete's is just gorgeous! Downstairs feels like a grown ups candy store and the second level feels much like a child's dream room :) The photos of Willy Wonka on the walls were a nice touch! We don't typically allow our kids to have much candy particularly not gummies but, since this was a special treat we made an exception ;) We opted for the little $5 cardboard boxes that the kids were allowed to fill with whatever they wanted. My 5 year old daughters hands were shaking she was so excited! The selection is very impressive and there is definitely something for everyone! To address a few comments that I have seen on Google; 1) Yes there are a few "cosmetic" items that could use a touch up such as cracked tiles upstairs, a few marks on the walls, a little peeling paint in corners BUT, do you know how many feet have walked through those doors?? I think people are more critical for the simple fact that it was on TV. I was expecting a mess based on some reviews but, it was actually very clean and if you aren't looking for problems, you wont find them ;) 2) Rude staff.... That couldn't be further from the truth. Everyone was extremely happy to be there. They were helpful and warm. However, I would imagine that if you went at a peak time, they were probably a bit stressed and understaffed and if you've ever worked in the food industry or retail, then you can appreciate that :) 3) Average candy.... That couldn't be further from the truth! Yes, some of the candy upstairs is probably not a Pete original and no he doesn't make TY Beanie Babies but, the second floor is aimed at children (did you notice the bright colors and giant peep??) The chocolate downstairs however is amazing! My husband and I like to indulge in high end, "exotic" candy once in a while and don't mind paying a higher price for such. We decided to go with the Chocolate Covered Honeycomb (chocolate covered sponge toffee) and Chocolate Covered Marshmallows. Both were amazingly good and fresh. The marshmallows are definitely made in house, as is the toffee. Although, it was around lunch time when we left and all were hungry, the reviews on the food were not good so we skipped eating there. We will go back in the future though to try the shakes and floats in the cafe upstairs :) Overall it was a great experience and everyone and we all had a nice time!

I asked a young lady if they sold chocolate chip cookies. She replied I don't know I will check for you and she walked off. I then stood in line thinking I would then get something chocolate covered. After the young lady help the customer in front of me she then walked off. So I then gave up and left.

The food was good. We got the deviled eggs, Mac and cheese, fried chicken and corn dogs. Wish their menu described the food better. We did not know the deviled eggs would be so unique. The person in the party that got them did not like them but then again she still eats like she is in college. The downstairs candy is very expensive even for its high quality. I did not like the trans fat in the popcorn. Very disappointed in that. We had a good time on the second floor with the cup cakes, cookies and misc candy shop. Overall we spent well over $100 for dinner, candy and cupcakes. It was a good family event that kept us busy for over 2 maybe 3 hours.

This place is AWESOME. I'm mainly commenting on the actual atmosphere of the place - as I come here with adults who like the fantasy land approach of Sweet Pete's. We have a few drinks at the bar and wonder around the three floors and get lost inside a child's paradise. I've brought many of my parent friends here as well, who in turn come back with their families. This review is mainly on the drinks / food / and atmosphere - oddly, i've yet to try the candy lol

Seen this business on the Profit and was do excited to take the kids, which quikly turned to disappointment when we arrived. It was so crowded. We loved the decor and quikly made our way upstairs to try the ice cream, the selection was very poor. They had very little flavors especially for kids. The only kid friendly flavors was chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Ice cream was ok but nothing amazing or worth the high price. It just seemed like a disorganized mess with candy all over the place which is extremely over priced and not as good as I thought it would be. They had cashiers but no one to really help or explain/direct or even help with any questions. We did get to see Pete who did not really seem happy to be there at all. Just not what I expected at all. I was hopi g to have a great time with the kids and enjoy this place. We had to stand up and eat our ice cream because there was no where to sit and the place was packed so you were just bumping into people all over. I wouldn't mind paying the higher candy/ice cream prices if it was worth it but it really isnt. I though this place would be unique and one of a kind but alot of their items they sell you can buy at any candy store. I can get that at the mall. I was expecting great tasting candy, ice cream and for this to be a very unique place. The building and decorations are the best part but it could be cleaned up a bit, for a new place it already is a bit dirty and worn down. They need to clean a little more get the marks of the walls ect

Love the decor, atmosphere, and helpful staff. It's certainly a place you must see for yourself. I saw candy from my childhood that I had long forgotten.

There were 7 in our party and we had reservations for dinner Sat, a week ago. My daughter ordered several appetizers including the hard boiled eggs and a cheese platter which consisted of 6 tiny slices of a hard bread and 2 small pieces of cheese, She paid $5,00 for another piece of cheese. The eggs were so spicy they could not be eaten and the cheese plate was awful. Very tasteless. We then ordered entrees. I got the fried chicken, which I thought was "fried chicken." It was 2 sq. shaped chicken breast with a spicy hot coating. Horrible! My granddaughter ordered French toast which was nothing but two thick slices of dry bread. We ordered a small stack of the lemon pancakes. The sauce they gave us was suppose to be strawberry but had the most weird taste. The drinks were pathetic. A peanut butter drink that was mostly ice and another drink that was yellow in color with layers of different stuff which we could not even drink. This meal cost $190 and was horrible. Be warned people. This is nothing more then a tourist trap. PS The candy is very expensive.
