I once hiked a 300-mile section of the Appalachian Trail. One day I will hike the whole trail.

My friend held her birthday dinner at Mezetto. They accommodated our party of 12, and served a custom pre-fix meal with 10+ courses. It was amazing! They wait staff were friendly and speedy, the food was delicious (my favorite was the falafel), and the atmosphere was perfect (not too loud, but lively). There were no dishes that missed the mark. It was probably the best large-group restaurant experience I have ever had.

I bike here usually on Friday mornings for a bialy and some Rosendorff challot. They have really high quality bagels. I highly recommend.

My wife and I have been using Long & Foster for the last 4 years, for our rented condo in Grosvenor. Over that time, we have had a bunch of issues, which have been fixed to varying degrees. What really sets them apart is their responsiveness. They aren't super-proactive about reaching out, but when we tell them there's an issue they fix it right away. And they call you, rather than just emailing, which is really helpful. It's nice knowing there's a person at the other end of the line who cares about your place of living on your behalf. It took them only a day to get someone out to replace some old parts in our toilet which was breaking weekly (the plumber was Danny Miller and he did an awesome job).

Just had my first Royal Bagel. Holy tar-tar sauce, that is a pretty stellar bagel. Makes me sad that I have to return to a world full of sub-par bagels from big chains (you know the one's I'm talking about). Next time I'm in Germantown, Royals it shall be.

Sweetgreen is my favorite lunch place in Silver Spring. They are a bit pricey for a salad (expect to pay about $9 per), but their salads are amazing, and in my opinion, worth it. As a vegetarian, I appreciate their veggie salads, especially the Chic-p, which I get most often. They also have reusable salad holders that you can buy and reuse each time you go. Also, their utensils are compostable, which is pretty cool. In general, the people there are very friendly and nice.
