Hi everyone!

I think this might be my first Google+ post ever, but I just wanted to take the time to share something with you. I've been working on a science fiction novel for... close to six years now, and it is finally ready to be professionally edited. To that end, we have created a website to promote all things book related, so please check out:

Feel free to get in touch with me for further information!

Special thanks to +Jeff Matsuya for this awesome picture! We are using it as our working book cover :D

Hello everyone!

It has been a little while since my last update. I've been busy with the first phase of editing, which is progressing at a steady (but slow) rate. It has been more time consuming than I initially thought it would be, but the editor has brought a lot of really good ideas to the story, and I am confident that the story will be much improved as a result. I really want to take the necessary time to get the story to the point that it needs and deserves to be, and I am sure that you will all enjoy it much more because of this.

There's something else that I wanted to announce! This has been a long time in the making as well, and quite honestly, I never thought the gears of the universe would click together in just the right way to make this happen, but they have! I'll have more solid news pertaining to this in the coming weeks, but for now, I want to leave you with some teaser images of an upcoming project that will, let's say, serve as a graphical representation of another story about different characters unfolding in the same universe as my novel.

I want to give a humongous thanks to my brilliantly talented friend, +Michael Foley , who is the artistic genius behind these illustrations. This is his first attempt to showcase his artwork, and I am very much looking forward to working with him.

So until we have more updates, I hope you enjoy these glimpses of what is yet to come.

When we checked up on our campaign last night, we were at $3,005, or just over 60% of our goal. This morning, we woke up to see that the campaign had been fully funded. This is incredible! A close friend in Japan was responsible for funding the remaining 40%, which is something that I’m still absorbing.

I really want to thank each of you for all your support of this project! It wouldn’t have been possible to be at this point without you, and this is something that I truly can’t express enough gratitude for.

We have begun work on the professional editing (another first time experience for me), and it is going to be a very involving and time consuming (did I mention exciting!) experience. This is going to be my sole consuming purpose for the remainder of the year, as I am set on getting the best possible story to you in as timely of a fashion as I can.

However, we still have six days left before our campaign officially ends, so there is still a lot that can be done in this time. This gives us a cool opportunity to go a step further and reach people who prefer listening to audiobooks. When we recorded the Chapter 1 podcast, it was done using a webcam microphone, and some easy access freeware. When we record the audiobook for the stretch goal, we will use professional level microphones and software which will greatly enhance the experience. To this end, all additional contributions past our goal will go towards creating a professional-quality audiobook version of Pathways. If a lot more people begin backing the project, then we will think about creating some additional stretch goals, just to mention :-)

When we started up this project, we had a lot of doubt about whether or not we would be able to generate enough interest in the book, and we were doubting whether to even launch it or not. It’s one thing to sit down and (over a long period of time) write a book, but it’s another thing to have people actively interested in it. I really want to thank all the people who have been so encouraging and supportive, not only on an emotional level, but also in terms of reading and re-reading the book and providing a wealth of constructive comments and suggestions to make the story better. Knowing that people were enjoying the story, even in its infancy and rough stages, went a long way to helping me believe that I could write a good story that others would enjoy, and there really are no words for me to express how grateful I am.

What I’m really trying to say is, thank you all so much for everything. As work on the book moves forward, I’ll be posting updates on my website (and on Facebook), so stay tuned :D

Kickstarter update! :D  (We are at the 53% mark!)

Thanks to everyone who has helped out so far :)

We've added two new higher tier rewards and new artwork for the book cover (we think it's pretty cool!). We're also down to thirteen days remaining, so please check it out, help if you can (or haven't been able to yet), or spread the word! Every little bit will help out a lot.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the Kickstarter so far! :D

As this is the first time I've ever done anything like this, there has been a lot of learning and a lot of nervousness over the whole thing, so I really want you to know how much I appreciate your time and your support. I really want to give special thanks to our new backers, +Jeff Matsuya, Josh Smith, JunJun Kwak, Casey Huynh, Anna Stepka, Yoshihiro Sato, Matt Varney, Iva Chitrakar, Jeong Hyun Kim, along with everyone else who has helped out so far! You are all helping make something that has been a big dream of mine for a really long time actually materialize into something real, and no amount of thanks can be enough.

We are down to 23 days remaining, and we are at the 41% mark for our overall goal! This is really good progress, and we really need to keep this going as we approach the project's mid-point. Any amount of contribution at all to the project will likely be the difference between its success or failure, so please know that I appreciate even the smallest bit of help :) As always, if you know of anyone who might be interested in this, please share this with them. I really believe that the story is original and that you will enjoy it, and I look forward to the time when the finished product is in your hands :)

Thank you so much!

Hello everyone! :)

I am new to this community, but I've been looking around for someplace like this, so I look forward to browsing around and taking a look at the various projects that are listed here!

I also wanted to mention that I've been writing a science fiction novel for many years now, and I've recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help finance the editing and limited publishing. The story is unconventional, and I've done my best to make it engaging and interested, so I hope you'll take a moment to check it out as well!

I’m really happy to announce that we have officially launched our Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds for editing as well as our first publishing run! Our goal is to raise $5000 within the next month.

There are a variety of rewards that are available to choose from, and hopefully you will come across something interesting. I really want to thank you for taking the time to look at my project, and I am very grateful for your pledges and support. I’ve done my best to create an interesting story and world, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.

Please check out our project details below:
