Wow. This place has gone down hill if last night's meal is any indication. Overcooked tasteless halibut. Uninspired romesco sauce-vinegary, lacking texture, and barely any garlic that it is known for. Asparagus that tasted more like the gas of the grill. Shrimp and scallops that were lackluster. And grilled broccoli that was fine, but had little flavor from the ingredients it was featured with-citrus, parmigiano and pine nuts. Service is charming as ever. Scene is always great. But felt totally ripped off with a tab of $120 for two before tip, one course, no dessert, and one drink each. Come on Blue Water. You can do much better.

I went there for lunch for a meeting, and I enjoyed myself. Beautiful decor along with delicious food makes for a memorable experience. I had the lobster bisque, which was better than others I've tried. I also really like the old fashioned phones they have downstairs from the 1900's. Great photo op.

I could have given the place 5 stars...if not for the one waiting our table...there was no enthusiasm on his face...i almost felt...he didnt expect us there but he was serving us because someone put him in the spot...other tables around me he was waiting seem to be awwed by him. and fact that i had asked a bday wish written on the dessert plate (it was my wifes bday)...the dessert plate just came with a they knew it was her bday....i have seen so many reviews of peoples bday handled very well...but we were not the lucky one.... the food was fabulous...we ordered the Chilean sea bass and some rolls along with a bunch of appetizers...both the wine and passion fruit cocktail was amazing... Sorry guys...though ur food was some of the best i have had...ur service did let u down...

Absolutely great! Overall A+! Lobster bisque, diver scallops, Chilean sea bass, all amazing. And the hazelnut banana desert was the ultimate way to finish it. Can't wait to go back. Thanks!

Deserves the stars! Went here last weekend for a friend's BDay and had a grand time. Seating downstairs was kind of dark but it was because of the live band playing covers (those three guys were really good on 4/19). Anyways to the food review. Maine Lobster bisque was really good! Creamy, rich with flavor, and some shredded shrimp/lobster chunks with croutons (??). Our party likes to share so I also got to try the shrimp wontons (okay) and the Lump Crab & Sweet potato hash (awesome side dish! but its also a side in some dishes so be careful if you get it as an app). My main course was the crispy salmon - cooked perfectly, blue footed mushrooms scared me at first, but they were delicious! All the deserts we ordered were great: banana tower (best presentation and biggest portion), milk & cookies (interesting take on it and highly recommended), gelato and sorbet (tried both, it is what is it is). Overall reasonably priced and well-portioned. Additional: Excellent service, fancy decor and restroom service (if you're in need of mint/cologne). Great place to take a date!

I went there during NYC winter restaurant week this year. It was so amazing that I came back one month later. The seats on the 2nd floor are very romantic. They have very fresh seafood and all well prepared. Tips for your reservation on OpenTable: The Jazz Room (live Jazz downstairs) is listed separate from the main dining room.
