This hotel sucks! They suck your money just as mosquitoes suck your blood! I booked for ten days stay here, three weeks in advance and a week later, still two weeks left before my arrival, I called to reduce my stay from ten nights to seven nights. Guess what, they charged my credit card with an extra night, for cancellation. Meaning, I stay seven nights and have to pay for eight nights. These are money scammers!!! Avoid them!!!

My wife and I have stayed at Lotus Garden many times, The staff are always willing to help, nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are clean, and the food is good. It also has a great location. Also check out the "Super Six" bar and Grill around the corner, great music, great food. Will be back in Manila in November, for sure we will have a few days at our favourite hotel...Well done guys keep up the good work.

We stayed here for 4 days. We chose it because it's close to the US Embassy (the reason we went to Manila) and also to Manila Ocean Park and some malls. It's also close to Rizal Park, but we didn't get the chance to go there this trip. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. They tried to accommodate us in every way possible. We have 3 children (9, 7, and 3) and the hotel staff made sure that all of us, including the children, always felt comfortable. The buffet breakfast that comes free for up to 2 adults and 2 children (Php 150 for extra people) was quite good. There wasn't a ton of selection every morning, but the food they did have was tasty. Each morning we stayed there, they had slightly different things, but they always had cereal (corn flakes and bran flakes), assorted tropical fruit, and assorted breads and jams/jellies. They also always had rice (it is the Philippines, after all). Most mornings they would have 2 or 3 meat dishes (including a seafood dish), an egg dish, and a vegetable dish. One morning they also had pancakes. The restaurant in the hotel, Cilantro, had some pretty decent food. In both pricing and taste, it was on par or even slightly better than most of the casual sit-down restaurants in the Philippines. The main restaurant area is also a bar and they allow smoking, so we avoided that part, but they also have an extension to the restaurant (where they serve the breakfast buffet) that's separated enough from the rest that the smoke never reaches it. The waiters/waitresses were all very nice and attentive. Another plus for the hotel is that if you order room service from the restaurant, there is no extra charge. That's pretty rare no matter what country you're in. We stayed in the Deluxe Room with Kitchenette. It wasn't quite like the room shown on the website, but it was close. The kitchenette part didn't include anything to cook food, not even a microwave, but it did include a sink and a mini fridge. The mini fridge was, of course, stocked with items they wanted you to use so they could charge it to your room but that's expected in just about any hotel nowadays. It still had just enough spare room to store a few small items of our own. The room came with two queen-size beds. The mattresses were a bit too firm for my wife and I, but that's really a personal preference and wasn't a huge problem. The only somewhat major problem with the room was the shower. It had good water pressure and had both hot and cold water, but the hot water would go in and out. One moment you'd be taking a normal shower and the next you'd be in a sauna as the hot water increased in pressure and made the overall temperature increase as well. The swings in pressure and temperature seemed too regular to be the flushing of toilets or other uses of water in the hotel. Luckily it never got so hot it was a safety issue, just annoying. The only other complaint I have about the hotel in general is that after the first night, the WiFi just stopped working. Their network just disappeared. It never got fixed, even after multiple calls to the front desk. That was the only failing of the hotel staff the entire time we were there. Overall, this is a hotel that I would return to. We did enjoy our stay.
