Band 30 is becoming more and more frequent around here. It's great for filling in coverage holes in densely-populated urban areas.

Caught my phone on AT&T band 30 LTE today for the first time. Looks like they may be doing some testing in my area. 👍

Just got the Nougat OTA on my Nexus 9 LTE. Considering this is the only Nexus device I own, this is my first exposure to Nougat. This is a little exciting for me!

I've always known LG was a conglomerate, but I never realized how far it goes outside of consumer electronics. In South Korea, the company distributes brands like Coca Cola and Seagrams, plus it has its own brands for everything from beauty products to laundry detergent. I need some LG laundry detergent in my life.

I really hate saying this, but i couldn't be less impressed with the Pixel phone. Between the lack of OIS, the locked bootloader on the Verizon model, and the fact that it's just plain ugly, I'm going to sit this generation out. Also, did Google seriously try to use Assistant as a selling point? I certainly hope it's better than the completely underwhelming Assistant that Allo has. If you're in the market for a new phone and want a flagship device, the Galaxy S7 or even the Note 7 gives you far more phone for your money, IMO.

I guess seeing the Googleplex and Apple's new spaceship building from the air is as close as I'll get to being there. Now, I sit at SFO for the next 4 hours waiting to catch a flight home. I hate this airport.

Almost 2 months ago, I picked up an Asus MX279 monitor for my laptop so I could have a makeshift desktop setup. Well, as it turns out, it was the nicest looking 1080p monitor I've ever used, especially for its price range. So, tonight I went out and paid Asus the ultimate compliment. I bought a second one.

Today I was reminded why I REALLY hate the whole idea of Chrome-based desktop apps on Mac, Windows and Linux. ServerAuditor, which is an SSH client that I love, only has a desktop app via Chrome, and I use it regularly. However, since updating to Chrome 51, ServerAuditor is completely broken because Chrome changed something that busted the app. Thankfully, an update to ServerAuditor was released today that fixed the issue, but still, it's the principle. Updating my fucking web browser shouldn't break a desktop app. Chrome, you're a browser, not an operating system. Extensions are one thing, because those just extend the functionality of the web browser itself. Apps are quite another.
