The Most Beautiful Yet Dangerous Drive In The World

Driving for hours could be relaxing at first, but getting harder towards midway. Better if happen to pass by gorgeous natural scenery worth capturing by eyes and camera.

Built across an archipelago, the Atlantic Ocean Road, with a length of 5.1 miles is part of Norwegian national road 64. It’s a very popular tourist attraction in the country. The construction of the road started on August 1983 and it took six years to be finished. It's one of the most scenic drives in the world.

The road's roller coaster-feel, curvy bridges and phenomenal views have made it a favorite of road trippers and motorcyclists. Yet, the weather on this zone is harsh and highly unpredictable; it's always easily hit by storms. So be well-prepared before heading to see this incredible drive recognized as World Heritage Site.

You ROCK, Night Leopard!

Excited for the summer vacation? But first, you have to go through some exhausting driving!

First, you have to consider the basic facts that your depth perception, ability to distinguish colour and peripheral vision are worse in low-light condition, especially when you are driving all night-long.
To have safe, memorable driving nights, try to aim your headlight correctly by following instructions on the owners' manual and clean the road grime from the headlights often.

Your eyes would get fatigued after the long hours. Keep your eyes moving and look at other things on the road and watch the white line to prevent your eyes from getting flashed by the oncoming traffic. Safe night journey!

Tires carved for wet surface

Holding back your speed on slippery roads sometimes can ruin the mood. It definitely takes more than your in-car entertainment system that can enliven you during the ride in rainy days.

Like those who always confer the best equipment for their cars, getting rain tires before hanging out under humid weather could be a wise move. The rain tires are molded with patterned grooves and tread in them, allowing the tires to quickly displace the water between the ground and the tire surface. Then you can go with a tight grip without too much concerns on your shoulder.

Of course, don’t miss the TPMS on the new set of rain tires as well. Sounds like nagging? You can never overdo anything when it comes to car safety anyway.

The legend speaks for itself

Do we have any sci-fi fans with us? There have been plentiful classic sci-fi series that ever dominated our childhood: STARTWARS, Star Trek and many others. All of us can’t help but always dream that one day we are fortunate enough to steer one of those spaceships cruising across the universe far away.

It won’t take too long for someone who did it literally. Now the guys from Tommy Built Design Studios have done something real admirable and realized such imagination for us. They built a Landspeeder (Luke Skywalker's civilian craft) out of fiberglass and rolled it on roads for real!

Steelmate Magazine Vol 13

In today's term, deluxe could be the right adjective for white tires. Mostly just classic, fancy cars are equipped with them. Could you imagine a 1955 Ford Thunderbird truly complete without a set of white wall tires? But you know what? Back in the early 1900s, it was the white tires came out first and they were just as commonly used as black tires today in reverse. And then the Goodrich Tire Company started adding carbon black into tires, in order to boost the durability and the tensile strength. This is why you can see most tires dress in black nowadays.

There are very few of trends or styles that could last forever, however, “go TPMS” with your tires will always be an option that can never be wrong.

Stop sadness in a Clinton way

You may know what TPMS is but you may not know where the TPMS legislation comes from. One of the most popular US presidents, Bill Clinton, spent a tragic and lonely childhood after losing his father in a car accident caused by underinflated tires. He decided to break the vicious cycle by enacting a law to get all US drivers to install TPMS during his stint in oval office. After years of efforts, such a life-saving legislation finally came into effect in 2007 and became an impactful model for the rest of the world since then. It’s never too late to get things right, right?
