A very simple idea - drawing the solutions of millions of equations like x^7 + x^6 - x^5 + x^4 - x^3 + x^2 + x - 1 = 0 - gives some surprisingly pretty patterns. So we have to ask: how can we understand these patterns? And that's where the fun really starts.
