I will be avoiding Nuttal's. Customer Service is terrible. I went in asking questions about a specific embroidery machine and all I got in response was pressure to buy a more expensive machine. I told them more than once that the machine I wanted information about was in my budget and I would not go over that. They continued to be pushy and would not even give me information about the machine I wanted. I left. I bought my machine elsewhere. I love it, it is a great machine. After some time my machine needed a tune up. I took it to Nuttal's because it was still under warranty from Brother and they would do the work for free. I got what I paid for...nothing but trouble. First, they called while I was away to tell me that the machine was ready to be picked up. They left a message saying to come and their hours are "Monday through Friday 9-9 and Saturday 9-6". I got home from my trip late Saturday night. Monday after work I headed out with my two kids to pick up the machine. From my house it takes about 30 minutes to get there. When I arrived there was a note on the door that said, "We closed today at 5 for a company party." Really? You couldn't have told me that in your message? I drove back up the next day and picked up my machine. Everything was great until the clerk said, "Maybe one day you'll have a real machine". I was completely insulted and, once again, left the store with a bad taste in my mouth. I wish that were all I had to say, but it's not. Since I got my machine back from them I've had nothing but trouble. They put so much oil in the machine that it leaked all over a white onesie I was working on. The automatic thread cutter has been getting jammed. The automatic tension is not working. And this is just after 36 hours of having the machine back. Needless to say, I will not be returning to their store. I would rather pay someone else to work on my machine than get the work done for free through my warranty from them. If I were to describe Nuttal's Fabric Center it would be: pushy, uncaring, rude, and incompetent.

Rebecca my name is Chad and I am the manager here at Nuttall's in American Fork. I left a message for you on April 17th to apologize for the experience you had in our store. We try are hardest everyday to make our customers experience the best that it possibly can be. Sometimes we fall short of that. On your machine service we guarantee our work for ninety days from the time when the repair is done, if you would like to bring your machine in I will personally look at it and see what is going on with it. The three times I have tried to shop here, I have been amazed at the rudeness of its employees. There may be lots of nice fabric for sale, but just try to ask for help, and you'll get disdain. The last time I went there, my teenaged daughters and I were the only ones in the store, and the three employees couldn't stop arguing among themselves long enough to answer my questions. When I went to check out, every thing I thought was on sale wasn't. I was supposed to magically understand their dot system, I guess. I now buy fabric anywhere but here.

I called ahead to see if they had a cord for my Janome machine. They asked if I could bring the machine with me when I came in. I arrived at the store with my two "children" in tow...a 21 year old daughter and my very quiet 27 year old special needs son. The store was empty except for two employees. "Are ALL these people with you?" What, those two quiet adults standing by the door? Neither employee was friendly or helpful. When directed by one as to where to place my machine she said "over there" When I didn't select the correct "over there" she was frustrated and sharp with me. They looked for a used cord, didn't have any new ones in stock and told me that I could order one. They offered no information as to how long it would take or how much it would be. Sensing that it would be a fiasco, I declined. Even though the American Fork store is close to me, I won't go there again. Frankly, I won't try the Salt Lake location either.

I frequent fabric stores in 3 different states and Nuttals is my favorite. I have enjoyed them ever since I moved to AF and when we moved away I would find any reason to travel through AF so that I could got to Nuttals. I love the service and the care they give. Each employee is very experienced and has their area of expertise (plus they are super nice!). I know that whatever project I'm doing I can get some really great and creative advice. And they always let me know when a sale is coming up! I love that! Plus their Minky section is the best I've seen. They have high end fabrics, oil cloth, velvets, camo, laces, and bargain fabrics. It's all my little crafting heart could wish for. Thank you Nuttals for making sewing so much fun!

I'm a very beginner quilter, have learned much from the helpful ladies at Nuttals They have spent much time with me explaining and drawing out my next step and talking it over again on the phone. If one can't help then they'll send me to another who is more experienced. They've taught me how to care for my very old machine and have been patient and kind as I learn this fun new hobby!

This store has TONS of GOOD quality fabrics and items. Each time I have gone in they have been very helpful and went out of their way to make sure I was happy and satisfied with the Brother sewing machine I bought there. They offer multiple types of classes for sewers of all levels, and I have been thrilled with finding this store.

I love this store, they have tons of fabric and everything you would need in one stop. The staff there is great, they know everything there is to know about sewing, and I just bought my new machine from them about a month ago. There classes are great I am learning new things on my machine in every class. I have taken my older machines to them, and they have been the only ones that have been able to fix them, even when they were suppose to be under warranty from other shops. I love nuttalls I would recomend them to everyone.

I took my Bernina in for cleaning and general maintenance. The mechanic threw it in a pile on the workbench, where it was scratched and dinged, and forgot about it. When they finally found it and gave it back, one of the gears was broken in half. He then claimed it came in that way (false!), and it couldn't be fixed; but the St. George Bernina shop fixed it in a day and quite inexpensively. The owner was absolutely no support, as well. Jo L.
