Ref: REB1056 – F/T Experienced Nanny required in Teddington

Family in TW11 requires a full time nanny for sole charge to look after their children, boy 1.6 years and girl 10 months old from Mondays to Fridays 7:15-6pm (there may be an afternoon off) Same hours on school holidays. Children are in a good routine, they also like to go to playground, library, park etc. Ofsted or willing to register, family will pay for the fee. You must be a conscientious, kind and loving person, reliable. Happiness, politeness and to treat others with respect are some values that must be encourage. Family employ a weekly cleaner. Free parking outside the house.

Childcare Courses

12 hr Paediatric First Aid Course (One Day Practical + E-Learning)

This 12 hour blended learning Paediatric First Aid course (6 hr practical + e-learning test) is suitable for for childcarers registering on both parts of the childcare register. A certificate will be issued on completion on the course which is valid for 3 years; as well as a First Aid booklet. The course takes place on Sunday's on a monthly basis. A sufficient command of the English language is needed to successfully pass this course.
Venue: Regency Hotel, 100 Queen’s Gate, South Kensington, SW7 5AG
Attendance: Monthly on Sunday's 10am - 4pm + e-learning assessment
Next date: 1st Nov / 15th Nov / 6th Dec

OCN Common Core Skills & Knowledge

OCN Common Core Skills & Knowledge Course - Level 3
In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register childcarers are required to complete the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training. Babyem provide the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training. Candidates can choose to receive the OCN (Level 3) enabling them to receive a childcare qualification awarded through Open College Network.
Courses take place on the weekend in Central London (Distance learning option is available).

Cost: £120pp (+ £30 registration fee with OCN if completing the qualification)

OCN Nanny Cooking Course - Introduction to food and nutrition for children and young people - Level 3

This accredited cooking course is suitable for nannies, domestic workers, housekeepers and aupairs wishing to become more confident and gain skills in preparing healthy food for babies, toddlers and children. Courses have been designed by a qualified nutritionist with extensive experience working with children and families privately, as well as with local authorities and charities throughout the UK.

Maternity Courses

OCN Postnatal Maternity Award (MNT) - Level 3 or Level 4 + FREE Baby Massage Workshop

This respected qualification provides those wanting to become Maternity Nurses or those already working with babies an opportunity to further their skills. The Postnatal Maternity Care Award provides a comprehensive overview of the Maternity Nurses role through addressing all aspects of mother and newborn baby care, as well as the practical support and guidance required within the family home environment.

Sally Cranfield MIPTI (ITEC qualified), MGofSD, Principal tutor at Massage for Babies, who will be delivering a free baby massage workshop for our attendees.

Free work placement scheme:
Babyem supports candidates who have attended the Maternity Nurse Training course to gain work experience. We work closely with a range of organisations including NCT, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the national multiples group Twins UK.

Assessment Levels and credits:
The level given on the certificate for each unit you have achieved shows the stage you have reached in your learning. A Level 3 qualification is A Level standard and a Level 4 qualification is (the first year) degree standard.

Assessment process:
Candidates are emailed a study pack, after the course and are given 5 weeks to complete the assessment questions, before sending the completed answers back to us by email. Babyem are able to provide assistance with course work by email and phone. For candidates opting to complete the Level 4, they will also be required to complete a practical assessment supporting a mother with breastfeeding.

Time: Saturday 9am - 6.30pm and 9am - 5pm (including optional free baby massage workshop)

What's on this weekend in South West London:

You can visit the Richmond Fanzone this Saturday and show your support whilst having some fun too, BUT remember road closures will be in effect for the games so don’t get stuck in an unofficial scrum. If Rugby is not your game then try some Music and Drama, find out more about an Old War Story, take in some art and or try to compete with the kids in a run.  Enjoy!!

 
Saturday:

    As part of the new Richmond Music and Drama Festival The Dance Ball will be appearing on Twickenham Green and will feature short performances from dance groups from across the borough, alongside professional entertainment from Combination Dance. With workshops and plenty of opportunities to take part on the day and find out more about performing in Richmond, do go along and celebrate dance. Runs from 12 to 4pm and is FREE!
    Join in for the day at the National Archives:Kew with children’s activities inspired by the story of HMS Mimi and Toutou, two gunboats that travelled from Twickenham to Lake Tanganyika during the First World War. The Chimp who went to War is also running with two sessions at 10am and 12pm.
     Kids Run Free in Marble Hill Park. The event is FREE. Arrive at 8.45am. There are sessions for all ages from toddlers to teens. Pre-registration is required.
    Fun Palace at Watermans, Brentford Artists and scientists will be inviting audience participation, experimentation and invention. Acts include the Compliments and Complaints Quartet, the Craftimation Factory, Tea Trolley ladies, and even Mystic Sid the dog who will be passing on his doggy wisdom to all.

 
Sunday:

    A Real Mermaid’s Tale by Norwich Puppet Theatre at Watermans, Brentford. Intrepid explorer Amelia Butterworth returns for an exciting adventure on the high seas with pirates, monstrous sea creatures and mermaid treasure. She continues her quest to discover hidden and magical creatures. Ages 3-8
    Sunday Afternoon Family Art Activities drop-in session at Orleans House Gallery rns from 2pm to 3.30pm. Suitable for children from 4 years and up.
    Thames Ditton Miniature Railway is open for train rides for the last time this year! Trains run 2.00pm - 5.30pm
    The Twickenham and Thames Valley Bee-Keepers Association are giving you the opportunity to come and learn about bees and beekeeping, with local honey tastings , children’s activities and homemade cakes to enjoy.
    Meet the Makers at Putney Pier Art Market – this is an art market for emerging and established artists and makers. It runs on the fringe of Putney Artists Open House, a celebrated annual event at which local artists swing open their door to the wider world. Live music and refreshments available.
    Its Kew Village Market’s 4th Birthday, with balloons and bunting and 38 stalls selling the finest fresh food and the most creative local crafts, a bumper birthday raffle and lots of special offers. Runs from 10am to 2pm.
    If you didn’t get the Kids Run Free on Saturday don’t fret. Junior Parkrun is on in Bushy Park running from 11am for children from 4 to 14 years. Pre-registration is needed.

Both Days:

    Open Weekend at YMCA White House, Hampton. Running from 9.30am to 4pm full of exciting activities showcasing what goes on at the centre including a bouncy castle, tea dance, a model railway and much more.

Swinging 60's Shuttle Bus

The Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Councillor Martin Seymour will be riding the 60s Bus this Friday.

You are invited to ride along with our special guests including the legendary Derek Griffiths from the Artwoods, (Ronnie Wood's elder brother's band who were a popular live attraction on Eel Pie Island in the early 60s, rivalling groups such as The Animals) this Friday 2nd October on the 11am service from the bus stop outside Waitrose and other stops along the route (map below). Derek will be reliving memories and relaying anecdotes from those unforgettable days, including his work with the Beatles at Abbey Road Studios...this is a journey not to be missed.

50% of all ticket sales throughout the day will be donated to the Mayor's two charities, Alzheimer's Society and The Mulberry Centre so the more the merrier!! We look forward to welcoming you on board!
