Love this place. The food is that home cooking that every one seems to miss about home. The waitress of the nicest people I've ever met. She genuinely cares about the customers, and their experience. This is my new spot.

Went there today ordered food it took a hour to make grits, eggs, bacon homfries, and pancakes , people who came in later than us revived food before us , the order was was missing bacon and homfries, it was my first time there and it will be my last , food is overrated.. 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Best Blue Collar, greasy-spoon diner in Pittsburgh (that I've been to). It's really working class and most folks there will be white working class folks. It can feel kind of hostile for gay folks and or people of color. But the amount of food you get is great, it's tasty, and the price CANT be beat.

Every time I come here the ladies are attentive and friendly and serve amazing food! Excellent mom and pop breakfast spot!

The first bad experience was the weekend of May 30th. There were 3 of us for breakfast. We were asked if the tickets were together or separate. When we replied separate, we got the biggest attitude. I also watched the other lady do the same thing to a table of 6 people. We waited 20 minutes before we got our waters. I eventually was going to get it myself and the waitress yelled at me. Our food was only ok. However, the service was bad. We decided that we will give it one more try and maybe the first weekend was just a bad day for the ladies. However, the second time which was this last Sunday 06/07/2015 was even worse. There were 4 of us and the place wasn't busy. I kept looking at the owner who was sitting at the bar across from the register. She didn't acknowledge us or anything and she could see the disgust in my face. After 10 minutes, we asked if someone was going to wait on us. Took another 5 minutes for that to even happen. It only gets worse. I ordered the tuna benedict special. All of my friends got some of there food but not all. One of my friends received his side salad after his meal without the ranch dressing. We had to ask 4 times before he even got that. Another friend did not get her potatoes or toast with her meal. She had sunny side up eggs. After asking for that twice, the eggs were so hard that they had to remake her eggs. While all this is happening, I am asking for my food 4 times. In the meantime the staff were arguing in front of the register. The owner is telling them to keep it down and that they will be having a meeting after this day is over. Something I wouldn't do as a General Manger of hotel. Customers should never see this. Then my food comes out after everyone was done eating. However, it was a ham benedict. They had to take it back to remake mine. I should have just walked out by this point. I figured after all the fiasco the they would comp this for me. After eating our meals, I received the full ticket price. I was upset at this time and I would just pay and never return again. After paying for the meal, I went to the restroom and it was disgusting. When I walked out I noticed the owner sitting at the table by herself. I approached her and asked if she was the owner. She said that she was and I told her that I had the worst experience ever in my life. She said sit down and tell me about. I told her everything while one of the ladies who didn't even wait on me kept walking by rolling her eyes. It was disgusting. The owner than said I would have paid for that but I can't take it off now because the girls will get mad at me. The next time you are in here, I will buy your meal. I am always here. What kind of response is this? As a General Manager, I take care of it right then. Needless to say, she will never have a chance to get my business again. I will pay more somewhere else for better service. If you want horrible service with servers with bad attitudes, then go to Barbs Country Kitchen. Otherwise, stay away and go to another establishment.

Great service, great food, and the price is unbeatable. Everyone who works there is named Barb and they always make you feel like a regular. $5 for a full sit-down breakfast plus coffee. Support local business in Lawrenceville!
