Beta v01 - NPC Stress

Rules state that NPC extras have 8 stress boxes and take no consequences. This simply does not work if they have a defense rating.

NPC extras now have 4 stress boxes (like everyone else) and can take up to 2d consequences before being taken out. (corrected in v02)

Beta v01 - Damage, Harm, and Defense

There is confusing discrepancy with how these are expalained. I have corrected them in the next posting (v02) but here is the way it should work:

If harm does not equal or exceed defense, subtract the target’s resist effect plus the total number of stress boxes the target has (regardless of how many are checked) and offset any remaining stress with a consequence as normal. Do not check off any stress boxes, and reduce the duration of the consequence one step.

In case you want to build a character.
I just uploaded a blank character sheet for NOVA6 to help with character building.

And, in case you missed it, there is a one page character building reference in the back of the core book.

Here we go! Open Beta! Woohoo!

As you can imagine I am super-psyched about this. We've spent the last couple of years getting this done, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Please join us on this journey. I think it is going to be super fun.

We will be managing the beta in a G+ community.

Beta Discussion: As any questions about the rules you like. If something is unclear, let us know.

Please be precise in identifying any typos (page, paragraph, and include sentence fragment if possible).

If you have a suggestion on how to fix it, please share. Otherwise, we will try to determine what we were thinking.

+Jason Pitre recently shared his recording of these sessions and I had not finished updating the Legendsmiths site with a summary of the info so I have no rectified that.

This is a bit of thought sharing on how one might approach cyber infiltration in games that involve such things.

I've posted copies of the presentations I used to kick of the panel discussion and Jason has provided audio to the discussion as a whole.

Once we approach completion on the Novapunk hacking rules, I'm sure this will evolve into something slightly more system specific but with a 11-point scale (0-10) I'm sure you can figure out how to apply it to your game.
A discussion of Computer Hacking in Games and a way to build a cyber infiltration target profile.

A huge thanks to +Jason Pitre for hosting the audio of these sessions, and for +Clark Valentine, +Tim Rodriquez, and +MarkRichardson for participating.

Episode 104 - Cyber Infiltration Hotsheet

In the latest episode of the #RPGDesignPanelcast+Shane Harsch +Mark Richardson and +Tim Rodriguez discuss cyberheists! This is a fun super interesting discussion, which follows up on the previous year's discussion in Episode 50.

Take a listen to both, and have a good op!
