From the State Historical Society of #Missouri: Did you know we just added more #platmaps in #SHSMO’s Digital Collections at http://bit.ly/2As30AD? Now there are more than 150! Each map is divided into township, range, and sections. Identified on the maps are the landowners, and sometimes landmarks such as churches, cemeteries, and schools. Many plat books also contain a brief county history and a directory of county residents. This example is from the Standard Atlas of McDonald County, Missouri, 1909 (http://bit.ly/2OvHrlL). #genealogy #maps
