In 1965 inside of EREBUS, Dr. J. Colbert built the world's first functional time machine. The machine was capable of opening time portals, but there was a flaw in his design. Each time a test subject entered time travel, the time period that the subject arrived in reacted to them as a virus and attacked.

Obsessed with correcting his machine, Dr. Colbert sent his own employees into time travel. Eventually he ran out of revenue and personnel. In his madness he formed an idea, "Disguise the time machine as a haunted attraction". This allowed an endless supply of paying subjects for testing and financing his time travel experiment.

To date Dr. Colbert is at large inside the depths of EREBUS. Despite all efforts he has eluded capture. Beware all who enter EREBUS, for if you are one of the fortunate subjects who return from time travel the dimension you return to will be altered. Life as you know it will be changed.

I went to this attraction last year. I won't call it a Haunted House because it just was not scary. The special effects were cool but that was it. If you're going to call it a Haunted House, make it scary. I agree with another poster. I went to Blakes, an Apple Orchard's Haunted House. Theirs was scarier and half the price. Too much money and no thrill.

I am 6.3 and watch a lot of horror movies and not only did Erebus creep me out throughout the walk but I leaped like ten feet in the air from fear! Epic haunted house! A Halloween time MUST!

I was ready for the scare of my life, but i was very much let down:( i was having a huge panic attack waiting in line, only to make it through the haunted house and wonder wtf i just went thru. It felt mor like a fun little maze rather than a haunted house, i will give it to them tho, those clowns were pretty scary. All in all, i just went thru laughing and sweating my ass off because it's so hot in they're, i wish i could've said it was worth the money,I'm very easy to scare, very disappointing.

10/24/14. I liked it, did not LOVE it. I heard so much hype about this place to went with my fiance and two best friends. Well I have been looking into this place for a while and I thought it was going to be just the right amount of scary for me. It did have its moments. Other than that, you are rushed through the place where you keep catching up with people and then people behind you keep catching up with you. I didn't like seeing how the other people ahead of us were getting scared and being able to see what they already got scared by. I wish they could send people through every five minutes instead of being rushed. Things I liked 1. The swamp has some amazing effects. It really feels like your going through a real live swamp. If you dip your head under you really do look like your going under water. 2. The gorilla spots where you will just have to see what happens =) 3. The T REX was amazing! It looked so real like it really wanted to take a bite out of you! lol 4. Being buried alive. Now that was AMAZING. Things I did not like. 1. Well apparently as I said before, we were rushed and someone behind me that wasn't in my group kept grabbing me, it was another customer I know and not one of the actors, so I was highly annoyed about that. 2. There were no crushing walls this year and I saw on a video before that they had them and REALLY wanted to go through that part. 3. I was reading about things flying out and hitting you and stuff and I didn't get to experience that sadly. I never felt anything hit me in the face or chest or back or anything. 4. They didn't grab any of us or single any of us out and shove us into another room, that was a bummer! OVERALL This is a great place if you are younger and are more of a chicken. I am brave and it takes alot to scare me so yeah =/ Maybe one of these days I will find my match.

Erebus is a great Haunted House! Not only is it a large and spooky building as is, the people working it are great too! The actors are real people who are enthusiastic about their work and they really get you with great scares while going through the 45 minute adventure. Definitely an awesome place to go to and each year, a little bit of the house changes so new scares are always coming at you! Check it out and enjoy!!

Not scary at all. Waste of money. My wife and I purchased VIP tickets for $45 each since the line was very long. It was a waste of money and time. Cheap and boring. Don't waste your hard earn money on this haunted house. Going to a scary movie at the theater was scarier than this hunted house. I can say that the most scary thing is just the price of $90 for 2 VIP ticket.

Never having been to this attraction before, my husband and I bought tickets for my son and his best friend as a surprise for his birthday. We attended on family night and it was not busy at all. Loved the interaction with Tabitha and his owner. Very creepy! I don't want to give anything away for those folks that have not been here but there are some things you really need to know before you attend. First of all - stay against the wall as much as you can. I was hit by a pneumatic arm that smashed my boob at around 25 mph. (yeah, yeah giggle all you want - it still hurts) Second - even though they claim to be a "no touch" haunted house - this is NOT the case. My son's best friend was grabbed by the shoulders and shaken by one of the actors. The other times we were touched were not deliberate actions...mostly occurring in passing or during a 'scare'. Thirdly - The props used can and will hit you. My son was hit in the face and his glasses knocked off by a body propelled out of a coffin. I was poked in the eye by something moving above my head at one point. And finally - It's DARK. So dark it is hard to really appreciate the totality of hard work put into this place. Dark does not always equal scary. Total time spent from entry to exit was around 40 minutes. All in all this place was okay. We had more fun watching the kids experience their first haunted house. Would we go here again? Maybe, but I would NEVER pay more than we did for the family night tickets. It's just not worth it. FYI the hospital parking structure just one block away charged $2 for parking.
