My family and I arrived at the airport feeling a little stressed from a challenging day of travel. I called from baggage claim to find out about a shuttle, the nice lady said "we're right upstairs". Can't get more convenient than that. Rooms were very nice and quiet too!

This Hyatt Regency is built literally atop the Orlando International Airport - their front desk is directly above the TSA entrance for gates 60-129. The hotel is clean, beautiful and everything you'd expect from a Hyatt. I like to do the "sock test" - I typically wear white athletic socks and will remove my shoes when I enter a hotel room and just walk around for a while in my socks. At this facility, after much walking, my socks were still clean, which was very encouraging. I booked an "Executive Room" which is a slightly larger room with a balcony. Sadly, such a room - because it *has* an outdoor balcony - does not offer a runway view. Had I known this, I would likely have chosen a different room. But the room was still extremely nice, and the bathroom was absolutely huge, and the stay was pleasant overall. Of largest note here are the people. Without exception, every single staff person I spoke to - and I spoke to quite a few - was polite, professional, smiling and friendly. They are also very responsive. I had an issue my first night with some pillows. I spoke to a manager, and the pillows were replaced immediately. There's always the potential for problems anywhere, but I saw fast response and perfect resolution, and was very impressed. Internet: The hotel offers free low-speed Wifi to its guests. I measured this at 2Mbps up and down. For $5/day, you can get high-speed, which I measured at 5Mbps up and down. No need to bring a travel hub here - my room had a Wifi access point in the room, bolted to the wall behind the TV. A physical cable was plugged into it and available for my use, but on their system, you can sign in up to six devices per room on the Wifi... and they all share the same account... and they all work throughout the property. This means that you can upgrade all six of your devices to the higher speed for just one $5 fee, and get that higher access throughout the hotel. This is the first time I've ever seen such an intuitive, well-priced, fair, workable internet setup in a hotel, and I was impressed. Food: They have sushi on the room service menu, and it's really good! They also have a variety of other things. It's a little confusing: If you want a steak, you have to go to the "build your own meal" section of the menu - but you can basically just call the order number and tell them what you want, and they'll make it work. Prep and delivery was FAST. There is a restaurant on the 9th floor serving a wonderful breakfast buffet, and other restaurants and lounges in the hotel that I didn't have a chance to visit. Pool: The pool is smallish, but outdoor, and clean, and beautiful. A hot tub is also out there, and a fountain completes the nice view and ambience of the property. Departure: I posted a few pics to Instagram, which cross-posted to Twitter, and I got a tweet back from twitter: @HyattConcierge messaged me to make sure I had enjoyed my stay and to ask if I needed anything - I had not tagged them, they just picked up on my photo location. So there is clearly a HUGE support staff network here, not just in the hotel but overall - which both surprised and gratified me. Interesting point: You can get a room for the DAY (as opposed to the night) for $99, with access from 10-6. This is fantastic if you have a long transit, or time to kill. You get access to the internet, the pool, and the rest of the facility - it's a great place to let kids relax before a flight if needed. Overall this is truly an excellent hotel with fantastic staff, and comes highly recommended.

Very convenient and very nice. Will definitely stay here again. My kids loved watching the planes and the activity at the airport.

Perfect. After a long family vacation, this hotel had all the last minute shopping a the airport one could ask for. Convenience to the airport is the bonus. Get up and fly out, couldn't ask for more.

Perfect location! Right inside airport, so great for late night arrivals or early departures. Very nice and clean hotel. Can hear live band play down in airport atrium/lobby.

Useful if you're staying overnight before a Disney cruise, but I think in the 4 times we've stayed there something was wrong with the reservation each time despite calling in advance to be sure the problems didn't occur. Not my favorite place ever, but convenient!

Ate at Hemispheres in the Hyatt. Food and service were wonderful. We both at fish meals and couldn't have asked for it to be any better.

In Mid December, I had meetings with customers, working with my Sales Manager Mon-Thurs, so i flew in Sat evening, hung out by the pool from 9am-1 ish, got a tan, swam, had some drinks, then showered and went to the sports bar in airport to watch most of the football game. The restaurants and bar in the hotel itself are great!!, plus you have access to the rest of the airport! Had a huge Christmas tee in the airport and a fresh(great smelling) large one in the valet parking lobby. This is a Hyatt, so the rooms are awesome as expected; large, somewhat luxurious & clean. Great gym with weights & weight machines, not just cardio. The only downside was having to pay for parking, but you have to at the Rosen and other hotels near convention ctr also. This was a great way to have fun and relax while conducting business. Hotel was quiet, even stepping out onto the balcony was not noisy from the planes, NO sound interruption in the room. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Orlando in a couple of months, i'm doing the same thing! Hotel staff was very freindly professional, and courteous.
