Thanks for writing this great article +Mike Loukides. I must say my head hurts a bit from reading it, it was quite dense thinking :). Here are my takeaways: data miners need to confront their findings with the basic mechanics of the subject they are studying, and iterate. In the process they become more familiar with the subject. It helps if they can dialogue with subject matter experts. Did I kind of get it?
