Hey--if you put events on my calendar WITHOUT MY EXPLICIT PERMISSION, I am reporting abuse.  I don't know if Google will take notice, but I hope they will.  Spamming other peoples' calendars is not OK.

kthxbye

The NY Times gets it.  This is an argument I made a while ago: the intent of Google Broadband isn't to build a new business, it's to force incumbent Internet providers to get themselves out of the slow lane and start investing in infrastructure.  The US isn't going to have a first-class economy with second or third-rate data communications. All sorts of innovative services, from autonomous vehicles to personal cloud computing, will require far higher bandwidth than what's available to consumers now.

I also like the choice of language: oligopolies indeed.  Nails it.
