We're grilling lamb chops, preparing artichokes and roasting potatoes all in classic Roman style. I'm hard-pressed to find a meal as good in Rome and Ideale is a lot closer. I just returned from 3 fabulous weeks in Italy and we released the first of 3 new videos cooking with 3 North Beach chefs that I shot before I left. The first up is manicotti at da Flora. Next up spring lamb chops and Roman artichokes with Maurizio at Ideale and fresh pasta & 3 sauces with Giammi at The Italian Homemade Company.

I'm back in the kitchen. My producers and I wrapped 4 new episodes. We're editing them all now. Don't miss my new 3-episode series cooking with some of the best chefs in their North Beach restaurant kitchens. We'll be 3 generations in the kitchen and around the table cooking and eating our leisurely 4-course #ItalianAmerican #christmasdinner . The final menu is not decided yet but here's what we're considering.

Any way we go will be delicious. The food will bring us together for hours eating, sharing news & stories, laughing, and eating some more.

#ChristmasEve traditional Neapolitan #7Fish dinner is on my horizon. Why not celebrate the Italian way this year? Choose from some of the fish that are on my menu. There's something here for everyone.

Many of these fish dishes are ready in less than 30 minutes. There's one with all 7 fish in one pot. I bet you know which San Francisco classic that is.

I'm in a #porchetta  war with some Italians. In an effort to protect their food culture and traditions they scoffed at my porchetta episode that I released a while ago. Here's the story of how their criticism inspired me to source a pig in Chico and spit-roast it on Russian Hill to feed dozens of friends and fans authentic porchetta #panini. Now that the final salvo has been fired who do you think is the winner?
