The five stage performances, including three German premieres, at this year’s Flamenco Festival at the tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf until 6 April, form a multifaceted panorama of flamenco today. The celebrated performers include Andrés Marín and Leonor Leal as well as the young flamenco dancer and choreographer, Alberto Selles. On 6 April the grandson of flamenco legend Aurelio Selles de Cadiz will be staging a modern version of his renowned grandfather’s songs and rhythms, which had a lasting influence on flamenco.
