You would think I would be used to Steve Bannon's unfortunate visage by now -- but it's like noticing a new grease spot on Lynch's Barron Harkonnen each time.

Yay! Best show on TV (that doesn't cost 10 million-ish USD per episode) coming back soon:

Just switched from the synaptics driver to libinput on my ThinkPad X1 Carbon. Fuck if I don't overshoot targets at the end of long touchpad movements, again and again. Something ain't right, and as far as I can tell, there's just one guy working on it.

I wish there there a way to use the Chromium OS input stack.

Stupid rtl8812au chipset wifi adapters have no Linux kernel support. Found a driver that compiled on whatever kernel version Ubuntu 16.04 was using, but no dice on Arch.

Yay for having a box of old Android handsets! Even antique phones make better WiFi adapters than the crappier USB dongles.

I find it odd that the ThinkPad T460/560 machines I'm looking at buying have -- as far as I can tell -- shittier displays than my old Toshiba Chromebook 2 from 2014. Definitely dimmer. Ridiculous.

AOL. Not surprising, I guess:

Stupid turkeys, or viral marketing for an upcoming John Carpenter flick?

I do likes me the 14" business-type laptops.

Anyone spent any time on both a Dell Latitude e7450 and ThinkPad T450 or 460?

Just wondering if the overall, general build quality is appreciably better on the ThinkPads or Dell's ThinkPad knockoffs ...
