Seafood-centric haute cuisine. Nice atmosphere--not at all stuffy. Knowledgeable and friendly servers. Great wine list.

A lot of people recommended Redd. We were truly disappointed. The three of us had an 1:30 PM reservations but we waited over 20 minutes to be seated. The inside of Redd is an open space and modern and simple decor but beautifully done to fit the area. They also have patio seating available. Once we sat down, it was at least another 20 minutes before someone asked us what we would like to drink. The waiter finally came over with the menu about 5 minutes after then. All the other waiters seem like they were too busy to help other station and can't be bothered. Still, we were very excited to try the food at Redd. Two of the appetizers came, they look amazing. Five minutes after the other first two appetizers came, the waiter came to check on things. We asked him were my hamachi appetizer is. He apologized and went to check the kitchen. He came back with it five minutes later. The hamachi was definitely worth the wait. Even though the uncooked dish was the last one to arrive, it was delicious. Not so much for my friend's chicken lettuce cup dish. The chicken lettuce cup dish was well flavored but overcooked and dry. The main course was equally disappointing. Maybe by that point, we were already disappointed and no amount of merlot is going to help. The pork steam bun was also overcooked. It did have a very nice flavor. The other two dishes weren't very memorable. After wasting so much time there, we didn't bother to order dessert and just wanted to get out of there. I was glad the beautiful weather, the stunning Fall sunset, and dinner at FARM at the Carneros Inn made up a great rest of the day.

My husband and I were visiting Napa for our 1 year anniversary and were excited to celebrate with a nice dinner at Redd. I had mentioned it was our 1 year anniversary when I booked our reservations, but we received no sort of mention of it from the hostess or the waiter. Once seated, our waiter was very abrupt, did not even tell us hello, and threw our menus on the table. The rest of the meal, he was very rude and had no interest in getting to know us, why were there, if it was our first visit, etc. Just complete rudeness. The food was incredibly bland. I'm so upset that we spent the money we did at that restaurant and wasted a special celebration that was important to us. Spend your money elsewhere - so many other restaurants in Napa that blow them out the water!

Having anticipated this as a gastronomic delight, our party of six departed with significant food poisoning. 3 of the 6 of us became violently ill within 12 hours of this experience. We 3 had eaten both the scallops and the oyster special. One week later, the ciprofloxacin is working its wonders. Never again..... When the manager was informed of this last week, he said that he'd talk with his suppliers..... Rather.....

Stopped for lunch on a Napa valley tour. Chicken sandwich with Gruyere was fabulous. As was the pork belly appetizer and cauliflower puree.

Redd was nothing short of absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to try four different appetisers after the chef sending out an extra two he thought we might like to try with our mains! The pork belly was delicious with a perfect balance of salt. The duck main was perfect in both presentation and taste. Book early (several weeks) in advance.

Server had no personality whatsoever. Only ONE server for the whole pretentious restaurant, which I felt bad for until I realized the manager on duty and hostesses were doing absolutely nothing to help. Entrees were supposed to take 15-20 minutes but we gave up waiting after 35 minutes. Waited 20 minutes for bread since it was "warming up" in the oven just to come out just above room temperature. I work in two fine dining establishments in Atlanta Georgia and I have never walked out of a restaurant until yesterday. Will never return and I'll make sure to share this experience with my clientele when they come here to visit. Ended up having lunch at V. Sattui with fast fun service and a great view.
