We all have a duty of care towards our waste. Always use a registered waste carrier and ask where your waste is going. If you don’t make these checks & your waste ends up fly-tipped, YOU could be fined❗

#FlyTipping is a blight on our communities and damages our environment. The National Assembly for Wales have approved regulations to introduce fixed penalties for fly-tipping in #Wales from 25th October.

These new FPN powers will provide local authorities with an additional enforcement method to tackle the problem and help communities across Wales.

Local Authorities in Wales will soon be able to set a fixed penalty amount at between £150 and £400 for small scale fly-tipping.

Mae gwraig o Aberhonddu’n wynebu dirwy o dros £600 am fethu cael gwared ar wastraff o’r ty yn gywir, ar ôl cael ei herlyn gan Gyngor Sir Powys.

Mae’r cyngor yn rhybuddio trigolion y gallan nhw hefyd gael eu herlyn os byddan nhw’n methu cael gwared ar eu gwastraff yn y dull cywir.

Failing to dispose household waste properly has cost a Brecon woman over £600 after they were prosecuted by Powys County Council.

Now the council is now issuing a warning to residents that they could face prosecution too if they fail to dispose of their household waste properly.
