By far the most delicious hot chocolate in all of Boston. Forget their other desserts. I've had the Swiss Hot Chocolate (served in a clear glass with a metal straw, a delicious, simple milk hot chocolate with fresh whipped cream on top). The Italian milk hot chocolate (a perfect serving in a hug mug, vanilla cream topped thick hot chocolate). The Hot Chocolate with Coca Balls (that's not the technical term, but it's a great hot chocolate with these chocolate coated chocolate wafers....they disperse evenly throughout the drink and have a gooey coating with a crisp inside.

Unfortunately, they're not as good as they think they are. I've been there twice with the same experience- decent food, but overpriced and horrible service. Meals were brought out separately- fifteen minutes apart- and when I asked the waitress about it she said it was the kitchen's fault, not hers. After that, she literally didn't say another word to us. I'm not going back and am not missing anything, since there are so many better restaurants in the area.

Loved it! Kids had really fun (not very healthy) and delicious lunches. Chocolate pancakes with jimmies and waffles with chocolate krispies, strawberries and gummy bears. My husband and I had a steak Panini with waffle fries and a great dip. Expensive for what we got but very yummy. The children's chocolate syrup came in a test tube - so cute!!!! The best white chocolate cappuccino I have every had in my life!!

Everything is amazing! The chocolate is the best in the world. The food is A+ worthy! There is something for everyone on the menu. The atmosphere is fun and creative. A must! The one in New York is just as amazing.

Been here twice and both times were completely abysmal service. The first time we had bad service, but still tipped ~18% because we were a large group (7). We left and were chased down the street because the waiter didn't add up the part paid in cash and the part paid by card. After explaining the situation, we were still charged an extra amount on the card and has to be rectified at a later time. The second time, five of us, went and were seated after a very long wait with four or five open tables for parties or size. After being seated, or waiter didn't come for 20 minutes, despite the place not being very busy. The waiter brought us water only after we asked for it a second time and didn't refill despite requests. For other requests the delay/responsiveness was similar. Other people doing the store up front were waiting at least 15 minutes for someone to come check them out, and it was only after I notified the hosts did someone go over and tell them that their system was down and they could buy the gifts they were trying to. Lastly, part of the stairs/walkway in the middle of the restaurant because they were catching dropping water (?) with a five gallon bucket, which was fine, but when I accidentally walked to leave that way, was rudely told I needed to use another way.

Okay.... They have horrible customer service and barely pay attention to what food goes to which table as they brought my table someone else's food as soon as we sat down. We had to tell them we haven't ordered yet (we hadn't even gotten water yet)... We then waited 15-20 mintues for them to come back and ask for our order.... I then ordered a steak quesadilla - which I waited 45+ mintues for and it came back overcooked and smotherd in sauce. I ate one slice and couldn't stomach anymore... I then asked for coffee while my friends ordered fondue (this time they waited half an hour for it).... Only when I was almost done with my coffee I notice some black thing at the bottom of my coffee cup.. I ask our waiter if he knew what that was - to which he basically accuses me of putting something there - stating that "It wasn't there when he poured my coffee so it must of gotten in later"... IF THE STUPID WAITER WOULD STOP AND THINK BEFORE ACCUSING A CUSTOMER OF DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION RATHER THEN BEING IN THE CUP IT WAS IN THE COFFEE HE POURED INTO THE CUP. MAX BRENNER HAS HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES AND THEY NEED TO LEARN SOME MANNERS.
