Epic Ice Cubes

We’ve just updated Tasks with some awesome iciness!
One of the core ideas of this update is to have greater integration with the Android Ecosystem. We now support third-party widgets both on your home screen (Android Agenda Widget, Pure Calendar Widget, etc...) and on your lock screen (Dash Clock). And creating a task from Google Now turns out to be as simple as starting a sentence with the words Note to self.

We take the integration further by supporting related emails for tasks added by Gmail and the ability to snooze reminders.

Another aspect of improvements was general usability, where we introduce alphabetical sort mode, an indicator for overdue tasks, an improved calendar picker and more.

For a list of new features and improvements, check out the complete change list below.

Task 1.5 Ice Cubes

• In-app donations (reason for permission change)
• Google Now integration (speak “note to self: …” in Google Now)
• Support for related emails for tasks added by Gmail
• Ability to snooze reminders
• Alphabetical sort mode
• Implemented support for 3rd party widgets like Pure Calendar Widget, Agenda Widget, DashClock and others
• Improved Calendar Picker: Added shortcuts for today, tomorrow, next week and current day is highlighted
• Indicator for overdue tasks
• Option to specify the first day of week
• Ability to move multiple tasks at once and subtasks are moved with its parents
• Tasks can now individually be shared by email
• Due date in list shows weekday and reminder time
• Sorting by due date now also considers reminder times
• Performance optimizations
• Minor improvements

Thanks to our translators for the great effort!
