Still deciding where to watch the leaves fall? Our quarterly series "Where to Go Next" tells where we think it should be:

http://followbenandjenna.com/portugal-douro-overview/
We know where to see the leaves turn this autumn: it's the UNESCO-listed Douro River region of Portugal, whose undulating hills offer spectacular views and port wine.

Most tourists in the Galilee region of Israel come for one thing: a religious pilgrimage to the Holy Land. As for Ben and me? We were there for the wine.

Why we converted to the cult of port

Port: what is it, really, and why is your great-grandfather's favorite tipple experiencing such a resurgence among oenophiles and hipsters?

Years ago I visited this Moorish-fortress-turned-hotel, and though it seemed out of my reach at the time, I always dreamt of returning. Step inside the fortress gates of one of Spain's great Paradores with us to hear about a dream come true (or just glance at the photos for some MAJOR eye candy).

For many years I dreamt of staying at the Parador de Carmona, until last April when Ben made it possible. And now? Now I just dream of returning.

This is one of my favorite posts yet. I had so much fun writing it!

In turns chaotic and relaxed, serious and carefree, ugly and beautiful. Here's why we're hooked:

We always wondered how great boutique hotels became what they are, and we got to see it firsthand in Crete.

Are you a get-there-first kind of person, always hoping to find new locations before they become "it" properties? Then check this one out:

There's a little stone village in Crete that just might be your favorite hotel someday....

Eastpointe Properties Group sold my East Village apartment, and I couldn't have asked for a better broker. The sale was Murphy's Law in action, and took nearly a year to complete thanks to a difficult co-op board and other extenuating circumstances. Throughout, everyone was patient and professional. Since I was out of state, they helped arrange for professional services, dealt with mortgage companies . . . a true full-service experience. All in all, I would definitely recommend Eastpointe to my mother!
