Came to Bobby Q's and split the lunch platter with a friend. We got the brisket, ribs, BBQ chick and mac & cheese and added a side of mashed potatoes. I appreciated that they split everything for us in the kitchen and then sent out our order on separate plates at no extra cost; nice touch! Everything was freaking DELICIOUS and I highly recommend the brisket. My only sort of issue was that the side we added was $4 and it wasn't a large portion at all. BUT for $10 a person including tip, we were able to try a couple different things and leave full but not too full so I'll call that a win. I will definitely be back to try dinner and to sit on their gorgeous patio when Phoenix doesn't feel like the surface of the sun. It also looked like they had a good HH!

A Google review can't accurately describe how great this place is. The portions are enormous and incredibly flavorful. The BBQ chicken is better than all I've had in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Falls off the bone and packed with great seasoning. Unreal. The service was above expectation, as well. Very quick and professional. The FOH manager walked through and greeted each table to make certain we were all happy. Nothing but glowing words to offer her. Very attentive. Incredible value. Though I normally would go straight to Flagstaff when visiting Arizona, I will have to strongly consider the additional driving time from Phoenix in order to appreciate this great restaurant! Thanks, Bobby Q! It was an amazing way to end this trip.

I had a wonderful dinner but after spending over $250 on dinner. We were told that are close with too baggy. Correction I'm sorry I was told that my clothes were too baggy because I was African American. When I was wearing polo khakis dress shoes and a button up polo t-shirt all slim fit. But I must say that the food was four star but on Saturday nights African Americans are not welcome

Nate, I am glad you enjoyed your dinner at Bobby Q. We dont have a dress code in the restaurant, so I am guessing you probably are talking about the Q Lounge. They do enforce a tight dress code on certain nights, Im sorry you got caught up in it on a Saturday Night. but All the best, Chef Mark

We came into town from Albuquerque, NM. While driving down the freeway we could smell the barbeque. My husband said we're eating there! We are sure glad we did. Everything we ordered was amazing! Wish there were bigger portions of meat in the two meat combo. The service was excellent and everyone was so friendly.

I can tell you take pride in your restaurant with the superb customer service and amazing food (all made from scratch- yum!) The quality of the food and the plate presentation was outstanding! The prices were reasonable especially with the large portions. We loved it and will definitely be back! Shoutout to Ashlynn our server, she was great!

My wife's new favorite place. She absolutely loves the salmon, says it's the best she's ever had (and she's gets it everywhere) including several places IN Alaska! I've had many items from brisket to chicken to the ribs and all are great, but I always go back to the steak and crab (Saturday nights only). The Q rolls are phenomenal as well. Honestly, about 20 visits and never a bad meal. Got the eclub set up after emailing for a fix, but waitresses have been kind to honor special occasions in spite of coupons presented. This place will satisfy the taste buds every time! Update: eClub is now in full swing. Yeah! Disappointed that they no longer have the Saturday night crab & steak; this alone makes me think twice before I Bobby Q...

Kudos to Bobby Q's staff. Absolutely EVERYONE was super friendly and attentive. Everyone smiled and made eye contact, and they all seemed genuinely concerned that my needs were being met, and that I was getting what I wanted. I was immediately greeted with a smile when I walked in, and smiled at the entire time I was there. I really did experience 5 star service. But haven't they wondered how such bad BBQ gets so highly rated? I decided on the Platter Sampler, which allowed me to choose three kinds of meat, a side and cornbread. I ordered the roasted corn and an extra side of shoestring fries. Sitting there sipping my iced tea a few minutes later, I overheard a couple of gentlemen at the end of the bar ordering meatloaf. Wondering how I had overlooked that, I studied the menu some more, but didn't see meatloaf anywhere. When I asked, the bartender indicated that they periodically have off menu specials. Since I had come so far, I ordered the meatloaf (only $9.99!) to go. My food came out far more quickly than I had anticipated, and there was a lot of it. Portion sizes were generous. I had opted for a combination of Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, and Spicy Smoked Link Sausage. The roasted corn was not corn on the cob, although the dish was topped off with two slices from the end of a roasted ear of corn. The off the cob corn had kernels that looked like they had seen fire. The juice that the corn was in had a good solid smokey flavor to it. I had anticipated and would have preferred roasted corn on the cob. To my personal tastes, it wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. The shoestring fries were delicious! They were perfectly cooked, thinly cut, skin on, and nicely salted. It was a HUGE order, that came out in a little pail. Turning to my platter of meat, I was very disappointed. There were several slices of brisket, a generous portion. It was extremely moist, almost mushy as if it had been cooked in liquid, and there was no smoke ring. I've lived and eaten all over the country, including Texas and the Carolinas. I have had good smoked brisket, and this bore no resemblance. It was more like pot roast or meat you would find in stew, with almost no smokey flavor. In fact, the corn had more smokey flavor than my brisket. I would not order the brisket again because I think this must just be the way they have decided to prepare it. Maybe lots of people love it. Maybe they've never had better. I didn't like it. To the eye, the sliced link sausage was missing the usual coarse texture of sausage, with the textures of fat and lean. The mouth feel was as if it has been boiled, or in liquid at a sufficient heat to cook the fat out of it. That left the texture sort of like moist cardboard. The flavor coming through wasn't bad, but the effect was like nicely seasoned boiled cardboard. (It took me the entire drive home to figure out a truthful way to describe it.) Perhaps this batch had just been sitting in warm moisture too long. I'm going to go back and read through the reviews again to see if I'm the only one who experienced this. The St. Louis Ribs saved the day for the meats. Except for being fatty, and a general lack of smokey flavor, they weren't bad. Not very good, but not bad. The best news turned out to be my take-out meatloaf special. My portion of meatloaf was nearly 2 pounds! It was also tasty! It wasn't what I expected as it had more pungently savory ingredients than I am accustomed to in meatloaf, including a degree of heat, although not excessive. It was topped with a generous portion of golden fried onions, and accompanied by a huge serving of skin on mashed red potatoes! The only downside for me was the gravy, which I am grateful came in a separate container on the side. I'm not a fan of tarragon or thyme or whatever it was loaded with. Lots of people at the bar were eating it, but I didn't notice whether or not they used/ate the gravy. I honestly can't give Bobby Q's high marks for BBQ. I don't know where the great reviews come from.

Where do I start? Wonderful... Let's start with a perfect atmosphere, appropriately adorned with the right amount of rustic meets darker lit urban spoon, loft style dining "palace". We were greeted well at the door which continued throughout our stay including a sincere visit by the manager. Our server, Mateo was awesome. Attentive to our first visit needs and meeting my one pet peeve by always keeping our drinks full, even before the glasses were empty. On to the food...ok stop there and let's just say cornbread!!! Had to order another basket, not too dry, not to moist...delightful. The family ordered a variety to meet our equally distinct tastes. The filet was perfectly prepared, the pulled pork and beef brisket was cured and seasoned just right and the cat fish was to die for, even though I must lather it in their spicy BBQ sauce...sorry chef. I equally enjoyed the grilled corn and my wife's hand mashed potatoes was a must share. For the cons...the portions are big and I felt really guilty not being able to eat everything and clear the table. Well, I'm sure our take home will make great left overs. Thank you to the entire staff for making our first visit impressionable and we will be sure to return. Rob
