My wife's new favorite place. She absolutely loves the salmon, says it's the best she's ever had (and she's gets it everywhere) including several places IN Alaska! I've had many items from brisket to chicken to the ribs and all are great, but I always go back to the steak and crab (Saturday nights only). The Q rolls are phenomenal as well. Honestly, about 20 visits and never a bad meal. Got the eclub set up after emailing for a fix, but waitresses have been kind to honor special occasions in spite of coupons presented. This place will satisfy the taste buds every time!

I had a wonderful dinner but after spending over $250 on dinner. We were told that are close with too baggy. Correction I'm sorry I was told that my clothes were too baggy because I was African American. When I was wearing polo khakis dress shoes and a button up polo t-shirt all slim fit. But I must say that the food was four star but on Saturday nights African Americans are not welcome

Nate, I am glad you enjoyed your dinner at Bobby Q. We dont have a dress code in the restaurant, so I am guessing you probably are talking about the Q Lounge. They do enforce a tight dress code on certain nights, Im sorry you got caught up in it on a Saturday Night. but All the best, Chef Mark

All you need to know is... PULLED PORK!!! It is seriously one of the best pulled pork I've ever had! I'm from California and we are blessed with Phil's BBQ and my sister and I prefer Bobby Q over Phil's BBQ! What We Ordered - Beef Brisket with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes - 2 Meat Combo: Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket with Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes - Steak Sandwich with Shoestring Fries - Catfish Po Boy Sandwich with Roasted Corn The complimentary corn bread was good! Very moist! The beef brisket was good! The meat was tender but I felt that I needed to add the bbq sauce for it to taste better. The Mac and Cheese was super duper cheesy!! I loved it!! The Mashed Potatoes were really good as well! Super buttery and smooth. The Pulled Pork (not pictured because my sister was sitting too far) was AMAZING. It was good by itself or with the bbq sauce! I really wished I ordered this instead, like I originally planned. Luckily, my sister let me sample some of hers. :) My Mom enjoyed her catfish po boy. She's really picky so that's telling you something lol. My Sister and Mom loved the roasted corn! The only bad dish was the Steak Sandwich but I don't know if that's because my Dad ordered it medium well. He said it was too chewy and had no flavor. His shoestring fries were really, really salty and soggy! He was very upset, to say the least lol. They give you little sugar donuts, (Thank Q's), at the end of the meal! They were so cuteeee! They were just average tasting but I enjoyed the fact that they were free! I will come back for the Pulled Pork!

I'm guessing that the people that give this establishment a 4.5 star rating are not used to high quality food. It has more of a sports/western bar feel to it than a restaurant. The Cajun shrimp we ordered as a starter were drowned in some kind of cheap, nasty, flavorless oil.(I'm guessing soy or rapeseed oil) They barely had any flavor, were rubbery. My son ordered the Prime Rib, which was extremely salty. The "corn bread" was obviously deep fried, and super greasy. The bread that came with the Cajun shrimp was horrible, super greasy, with who knows what. My glass of red wine even tasted watered down. I'm so glad I appreciate fine dining. I would rate this place along with other fast food places like The Olive Garden, Mc Donald's, etc. I don't think we'll be going there again. I'm at the point of not wanting to go out to eat anymore. It's all GM, overcooked factory food.

Thanks for giving us a try and leaving a review. I'm sorry you don't appreciate our food more, though it's disappointing that you consider us fast food. We prepare everything fresh in-house. Thanks again for sharing your experience. -Chef Mark

Anyone visiting the Phoenix area must come eat at Bobby Q and try their Smokehouse burger with Mac & Cheese. My guest was also very happy with their St. Louis style ribs. Their in-house beer served with BBQ also is an awesome compliment. Was served by Ciara and she gave exceptional service and great recommendations. Definitely will come back.

We must have driven by this place 10,000 times, not knowing what we were missing. Freakin good food! Service was prompt as well. It was a solid first impression, but I look forward to developing a more well rounded opinion of this place in the near future. If you like good food, and the idea of settling for a chain to fill your void sends you into a downward spiral of depression and regret, you will definitely need to shake it off and get yourself in here a tasty treat!

Well? I am from St Louis and I know my BBQ. I decided to visit this place after many years when it closed as Bobby McGees. It was a pleasant atmosphere inside, very busy so we felt, my fiance and I made a good decision for lunch. It was LOUD inside after being sat at a table instead of a booth. We ordered our food, received 2 corn bread cakes with hard butter. We ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the BBQ Platter; Chose the brisket, pork, chicken and fries. Fries were good...corn bread...good. BBQ, not so much. No smokey or charred flavor in any of the meats. The BBQ sauces tasted like they were masqueing the lack of taste instead of enhancing it. The meat was soggy, almost like it was sitting in water for hours to keep it wet. Majorly disappointed. For a place that I was told was ranked as a top 30 BBQ restaurant, I cant see it or taste it. Maybe it was an off day.

I think I'm more disappointed to see this review than you were in our food, Jim. Your food should absolutely not have been tasteless like you describe, and I'm actually pretty surprised to hear about that. I'm not sure what might have gone wrong, but please know that I'll be looking into it. I hope you'll consider giving us another chance. Like our other reviews show, we're better than this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Best, Chef Mark
