We stayed here for 3 nights our a 22mo and 7wk old kids. The suite was perfect, except that the bath tub enamel was quite chipped (but usable). Staff was friendly all around, from valet to reception to cleaning lady. They brought us extra blankets and towels as needed. The room temperature was great for us with not much fiddling (July days with a lot of up & down weather). Parking would have been unpleasant (expensive in the hotel but they offer some slightly better options at a museum nearby) but we didn't have need for that. There is no breakfast included, given the pricy room, and the options inside the hotel are pricy, but there's plenty of food places nearby. Best parts: easy zoo access, walk to old town, easy public transport to O'Hare, good enough transport to downtown. Would recommend and would come again.

Great rooftop bar called the J. Parker. Great view of the park and city skyline with decent drink prices for what you are getting. Definitely a must try.

Free bikes were great. The elevators could be better. Great location.

Good location, but the elevators and lobby area are chaos, the rooms are overpriced for the cost, there are no guest ammenities such as free coffee.

Funny, I see this place is owned by the same company that owns Hotel Avante in Silicon Valley, which I reviewed earlier. I stayed at the Lincoln Hotel before it was bought by the boutique boys, and it was a slightly different kind of joint. It was close to TUTS where we often played in 1980, 81, and one night we decided to stay at the Lincoln rather than make the drive back to Minneapolis. A room was $12 - for all five of us - and we paid through a small hole in a big piece of bulletproof glass. So you can kind of see where this is going. Early the next morning a very large male maid in a female maid uniform came through the door. We were all sprawled all over the place, two to a bed, on the floor, in chairs. "Oh mercy! Look at what we have here! The band is in town! Ooh! A couple of us cracked our eyes open. "Don't you worry honey, I'm going to clean up for you, you just stay right there gorgeous." She takes a big ratty old feather duster and runs it across the top of the broken TV. "Oh my word, lordy, you boys! I just...mmm, mmm, now what so ever am I to do?" Eventually she left and we got up and loaded everything into the van and drove back to the Twin Cities. I think it should end right there.

My room was spacious and clean. I brought my dog and it was a great location due to the large park across the street! Book it!

Hotel staff & manager is very rude. Bathroom door was a sliding door with frosted plastic, meaning no privacy at all. They will tell you they have free parking until you try to leave & are billed over 50 dollars. Manager kept hanging up on me over the phone to resolve the problem. Do not come here, I've had better experience at Best Western compared to this place. Very dirty room with human secretions all over the bathroom plastic door & bed posts.

Attached to a great restaurant - ‘Perennial Virant.’ Functional and practical hotel that's comfortable and clean. Has all the essentials: decent WiFi, an ironing board, pay TV, and a locker. The staff is very friendly.
