Introduction
Kenneth Mc Greal is a self taught artist. His work is inspired by the geometric outlines of the landscape
and quickly changing light which has surrounded him for 33 of his 36 years on the planet. The changing sky and seasons drape themselves over the glacial deposits and mountains of Mayo which have endured the effects of weather since the beginning of time. His work also contains elements of the metaphysical. The dream world. Connections between ancient civilisations and civilisations
which may or may not lie beyond our known world are also explored. Dusk and dawn are times when we can feel like we are neither alive nor dead, it is a time when we can believe in the unbelievable. These are some of the influences which are wrestled with and committed to canvas or paper through the medium of acrylic, watercolour or ink.
