Definitely worth the hype, the line gets long but they serve fast. Got the sesame flavor which was very bold and creamy and the honey lavender, very aromatic. They have a stamp card for those who go often to redeem free ice cream. Most creamy and delicious ice cream I've had so far!

Their salted caramel ice cream is famous, but don't let that be an excuse to ignore the other choices. The Earl Grey ice cream is particularly good. Long lines!

Delicious slightly eclectic ice cream with a cute but tiny seating area ... Fortunately a couple of blocks away from the major Mission noise and insanity.

I love Bi-Rite Ice Cream! It's so creamy and flavourful! I am never disappointed every time I come here. The flavours that they offer are very unique. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I got green tea and peach. The green tea ice cream has to be the best green tea ice cream I've ever had! It tasted so much like matcha, which I really like.

This establishment is a very famous spot in SF for ice cream. Yes it is a small place. With this place being small, parking can be tough. There are spots where you should not park nearby and it does seem people take the risk of getting a parking ticket just for ice cream! You crazy people! Anyways, with the popularity of Bi-Rite, the line is long. They have a great variety of flavors to try and if I had an infinite sweet tooth, I would definitely try many more of these flavors. Service is quick, prompt, yet nice, and they still will have you try a flavor or two even though the line is long, especially since many out of towners come here.. like me! In the end, I opted for scoops of their salted caramel and ricanelas. The ricanelas was a recommendation from their worker, and this was great. It has that taste of caramel in it, which was of course a different style than the salted caramel. Both tasted very good and I will say the ricanelas was my favorite of the two. And no, I did not park illegally to get here and made sure I legally got some delicious ice cream to eat!

A decade ago, two Bi-Rite Market pastry chefs spied a vacant space across the street from the iconic market and moved in their small-batch baking and ice cream operation. Staying true to the Bi-Rite mission, only organic local ingredients are used, resulting in some of the hands-down best scoops (balsamic strawberry, honey lavender, mixed-berry coconut in the summer; earl grey, orange cardamom, maple walnut in winter), buffalo-milk soft serve (only available in the original shop), frozen cakes, sundaes, and popsicles in the country. The original is in the Mission (and they have soft-serve). (Goop)
