A smartwatch you can TYPE on: iType Android keyboard has just six keys - and the watch can be used without a phone

By VICTORIA WOOLLASTON FOR MAILONLINE
PUBLISHED: 15:08 GMT, 15 May 2015 |
UPDATED: 16:56 GMT, 15 May 2015

"It works in a similar way to how the keyboards on feature phones running T9 predictive text work.

This keyboard also works by swiping a finger across the various keys.

Elsewhere, the iType is a fully-functioning smartwatch that runs Android apps. Examples given on the Kickstarter campaign include Facebook, Snapchat, Google Maps, Gmail and Spotify.

It additionally has a SIM card slot, microphone and speakers so it can be used to make calls, and has a built-in camera meaning it can be used independently of a phone.

TypeTime has raised more than $14,860 (£9,420) of its $100,000 (£63,325) target and the campaign runs until 11 June.

The watch can be pre-ordered for $184 (£117) and is expected to ship in July. It will then retail for $235 (£149)."

"A hi-tech motorbike helmet is offering two-wheeled thrill-seekers a new perspective on the road ahead - and behind them - and could change the way bike helmets are built.

Scheduled for release in May next year, the Skully AR-1 projects a 180-degree rearview camera and turn-by-turn directions on to a heads-up display below the rider's right eye."
