1st Industrial Vision Conference – The Future of Frame Grabbers
On the “1st Industrial Vision Conference – Industrial Image Processing in Production and Automation” (8-9 March 2017 in Ludwigsburg, Germany) we will hold a speech on the future of frame grabbers. Thematically the presentation covers the development and further development of frame grabber technology such as standards, future requirements and new influences such as Industry 4.0. Our speech focuses especially on embedded Vision and where frame grabbers as classical boards may transform. Aim of this conference with about 20 presentations (in German language) is to highlight the different aspects of the industrial image processing in production and automation. An application emphasis lies on the automotive and robotics industry.

Successful LINXDays 2016 in Japan
Our Japanese distributor LinX has successfully carried out its LINXDays 2016, one of the biggest Vision seminar events worldwide. More than 1,000 attendees exchanged their views on Machine Vision and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Our partner MEK Marantz Electronics showed in its presentation how to connect its automatic desktop AOI inspection device (Automated Optical Inspection) by Thunderbolt™ cables to the host PC under Mac OSX using our external image processing device LightBridge, which FPGA has been programmed graphically by MEK using VisualApplets.
The programmability of cameras attracted high interest. With VisualApplets Embedder we offer the suitable compatibility layer, by which image processing devices such as cameras and vision sensors get compatible with the programming environment VisualApplets.

New CoaXPress Frame Grabber microEnable 5 marathon ACX-QP
The mE5 marathon ACX-QP frame grabber of the A-Series for image acquisition supports all current CoaXPress cameras. It’s our solution for high-end applications in the midrange segment. The quad-port frame grabber therefore stands out by an excellent price-performance ratio with a high data bandwidth up to 1.800 MB/s (PCIe x4 Gen2).
Another new FPGA hardware is available with the microEnable 5 marathon VF2. The optical Camera Link HS frame grabber is mainly designed for users in the image processing who would like to create own applications.
