We LOVED the Hotel Amarano erstellen. Booked a corner king room on Christmas Eve and arrived early, but they had rooms available and let us check in early at no extra cost. The lobby is unpretentious and somewhat small, but the rooms are fantastic. Great city view, loved the modern styling and the bed was comfy. The free drinks at happy hour and complimentary breakfast were great perks. The breakfast includes items like cereal, yogurt, Danishes, OJ and coffee, etc. Location is everything -- only about a 10 min walk from Millennium Station and the hotel itself is right in the heart of a ton of restaurants and bars, plus only 10-15 min walk from shopping. Room included a mini fridge and a keurig, plus bath robes. Concierge was helpful and professional. Don't think they were very busy being the holiday, but our floor was very quiet. Would come back and recommend to anyone!

Service: Good Facilities: Good Location: Good Though a really nice looking hotel, I expected a little bit more for the price and stars. The lobby and building itself were very well maintained, the staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious. It's also right next to several studios and lots of restaurants, so there are things to see and do if you're just travelling with a few friends or family. However beyond that, it's just a nice and somewhat overpriced hotel. I'd personally rather go to a Sheraton or DoubleTree, but it's definitely not a bad choice of hotel overall.

I stayed here in July 2014 with my 2 teenage daughters. We loved the hotel. The lobby/bar area is very sophisticated yet warm and cozy. We actually met Robert Stromberg at the hotel bar - no kidding. (the hotel is a mile from Warner Bros studios and directly across from one of Warner Bros.'s lots.) Aside from our brush with fame, we found the hotel very convenient - there is a grocery store, dry cleaner, sandwich shop, and pharmacy directly across the street. Within 1 block is a 24-hr. CVS. The hotel was clean and we enjoyed the pool, although did not get to use it much. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The business center was great for printing out any theme park tickets or airline tickets. I knew about the parking situation from all of the reviews, and honestly, it did not bother me. I was able to find parking on the street every night (even if I had to walk a little), but did use the valet parking the first and last night. I would definitely stay here again.

BEWARE of the parking fee. Parking on the street is free but limited, and you will get a ticket if you don't read the Street Sweeper signs. I think I got a ticket on a Wednesday morning. Yes, I got a ticket! Paid it online... and was still cheaper than the hotel parking for the 5 days I stayed. Other than that, very elegant decor in lobby and rooms. Supermarket across the street. Oh and the shower head was way puny.

The worst service I have ever experienced. For some reason my credit card magnetic strip wasn't scanning on their machine (despite being fine before and after the episode at their hotel), and the manager, flatly refused to try to run it manually or do anything to help. This, after just traveling across country and arriving there at 10PM. He joked as I walked out (Jonathon Phillips, the Guest Services Supervisor). Unbelievable that someone like this even works in hospitality.

NEVER AGAIN! We selected this hotel because of its proximity to Universal Studios. The first night that we arrived the chair in the room smelled like urine, we contacted management and they came and put Febreez. They did not take the chair away and sanitize it they febreezed it. The pillows where disgusting and they looked as if they had never been replaced. I brought this to management's attention as well. I had to argue with them to get a discount of my bill, because they felt that they did everything correct. I would not recommend this place, they charge for valet parking but visitors are free, WTF. I do not know how this place has a 4 star rating.

Comfortable rooms, quiet. Close shops if required including a good breakfast place across the road.

Great service, friendly staff, nice pool and spa. Can't beat the weather! I agree the parking fee is excessive, but that's probably typical for the area.
