My review of Applebys is broken up into two categories: installation & windows versus company interaction. As for installation and the actual windows we have a very good experience. The installation crew was professional, timely and really friendly. They were respectful with my house, asked for my input as they installed the windows and cleaned up really well after themselves. Post install the windows look & work really good. I can't be happier with the product. As for the company interaction my experience is much different. Applebys is extremely aggressive when it comes to sales. We also received different information from different people along the sales cycle which is very frustrating. - We wanted large sliding windows initially, and the first sales guy told us they would not work with our existing setup and gave us a quote for smaller windows (3 standard windows equals the size of the siders we wanted). A second sales guy came later when we told him we did not want to buy the windows, and quoted us on the window we wanted to begin with, which ended up being significantly cheaper (around 25-35%). These are the windows we ended up installing and being really happy with. - after the windows were installed Applebys set up an appointment to inspect the finished windows. When the guy came over (a new guy we never saw before) he glanced at one window and spent the rest of the visit trying to sell us more windows - We were told Applebys has only one line of windows, then months after install I get multiple phone calls trying to sell me more windows from a cheaper line from a completely different person from Applebys. These specific calls left a really bad taste in my mouth. Pretty much expect a hard sell to give you a quote on more windows any time an Applebys guy to come to your door. I expect replacement windows companies to be aggressive, but I did not expect so much aggressive sales after I was already a customer. I also did not expect to be called by so many different people after the sale was finished. Overall I would recommend this company with the advice to set very clear boundaries around what you're willing to meet about and be clear you do not want any quotes for more windows right off the bat. Also be very blunt if they call you with a sales proposition & you are not interested - if you're nice they will keep calling until you lose your patience like I did.
