They couldn't find our reservation. Good thing we brought a printout. Front staff pleasant , clean room. Bathrooms are spacious. Location is good if you are visiting the university. More like a motel: people smoking right outside the rooms, parking is minimal But the thing that is keeping me from ever returning is the complete lack of sound proofing and the odd guests---the first night we had someone playing music and coughing and talking all night ---I'm not kidding. They were up at three, four, five, six am. They were talking all night and had guests coming and going all hours The next day they moved out and the ones who moved in had the TV on all night and then we were able to hear every detail of their amorous encounter at 330am. Our son was on a couch in an adjoining room so I think he got some sleep but there was no heat in his room---no source of heat. The only source of heat /AC is a window unit that cycles on and off every 2.5 minutes. I'm usually a pretty easy going sleeper but this was a miserable experience and until they get some insulation in the walls I won't be returning

Very low key feeling. Fantastic rooms. Gave you the feeling of being in a midrange hotel. Close enoghh to walk downtown, far enough away to not have to deal with the business of the area if you don't feel the need to.

The rooms were surprisingly nice once inside. Spacious showers and great linens. The free Wi-Fi was a nice bonus.

While the exterior of the hotel isn't particularly impressive, the rooms have been recently renovated inside and are quite nice. It's very close to local attractions, and is really good value. I definitely recommend it.

Great little place great pricing and staff were nice. Especially they lady that helped us out first night 2/12/16. You need more options for breakfast one reason we picked here was for the continental breakfast we are gluten free so we were hoping for fruit at least and they didn't even have that.

great location. great staff. We really were welcomed by Giuseppe and his wonderful staff. They go beyond what one would expect to take care of the guests. The inn has a small fleet of 3 speed bicycles for guests to use to explore the bike trails and the city, we probably rode about 20 miles in 2 days. The location combined with the price makes the Boulder University Inn an exceptional value, we would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it highly. the breakfast is small, but what you need, plus you can walk to several dining options in minutes. i would give the BUI 5 stars, but there was an ashtray outside our door and when someone used it, the smoke came right into the room. Can not wait to come back, Grazi Giuseppe!

Friends in town staying there. It was ok except some of the workers were disrespectful to my female.
